Hot new title from the makers of..... well anyway, new game at respectively titled website (that would be www.jfkreloaded.com )in which you attempt to shoot JFK, first person shooter style, and recreate the actual assasination.
Thoughts?
The only gripe i have is the scammish way in which the developers hope to siphon money out of peoples pockets. You have to pay money each time just to shoot at JFK, for a chance to win a theoretical $100,000. However that money only exists if people actually pay to play the game. So you could pay all damn day, and end up only winning 100 bucks. The only way to win is to match nanosecond for nanosecond the exact timing and degree of the shots as calculated by their analyzing software. Basically, computer timeline recorded accuracy, thus impossible.

i dl'ed the demo, which is useless because you cant do anything except watch the car go by. Pay 10 bucks and you can actually shoot and get all the other features. As well, you get 10 shots at the jackpot. i googled for a key to unlock it anyways, but I havent found one yet. I dont care about the jackpot, but if the gore is realistic, I would want to see what it looks like.

well judging by the screenshots, the game is using a pretty dated engine. I doubt youre gonna get any more realistic than red polygonal triangles flying in the air with particles all around.

hehe, i thought part of the intent of the game was to maybe disprove the oswald concept as well. Like, an impossible game where you realise after playing that theres no way you can do it heh.

I find it interesting as I think a lot of people would be troubled that this game exists and is quite as ... graphic as it is.
I find it fascinating as a cultural artifact, a piece of media about a historical event, one which has been so controversial.
I think it's a really great game, if a little disturbing and NSFW.
My high score is 422.

I think the fact that he created what looks a hell of a lot like this video game is on topic, but the documentary itself is off. I think the goal is to recreate the shot and you are scored based on how many details of the warren commission report you reproduce but yeah it is kinda morbid ... but at least they didn't nerf snipe.

Because it's interesting? Because it's challenging?
Why make a general sniping game where each bullets path and striking points were measured and reported back to you?
Why make a game about a historical event, something that really happened and was recorded and now reproduced as accurately as possible?
Would you ask the same question of a game about the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand?
