Civ V with more content doesn't really change much. Vanilla is just fine!

Eh, if you're a bit of a Civ nerd you will want Korea and Babylon as civs. Mainly because they're overpowered as hell and let you do silly things which otherwise wouldn't be possible in the game!

Unsure if mods are compatible with MP. I've never tried MP since MP blows last time I tried.

I use http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=389368 along with PerfectWorld, Tall Empire, and some mod that makes it so you can doomstack

The only time I play civ multiplayer is with friends, and then it's awesome not cause the MP works particularly well but because being dicks to each other in game is hilarious.

Okay I just read a bit about it, apparently the game can't handle AI and big maps in mp games and so the performance get's progressively worse, especially after save&load. Can somebody confirm or deny that? Because if that is true it probably is nothing for me, as I'd like to play it with one friend and a couple of AI players.

On singleplayer yeah that's true, but if you have a good enough system you don't really notice it. I've played the largest maps with no problem with a 2400/4gb RAM/560 TI fine. It does take longer to do things like process AI turns and pull up menus and stuff but nothing gamebreaking.

The issue is; hte larger the map and the more AI, the longer each "intermission" is. It takes a bit to load each turn (6 seconds)

I've been waiting for Civ 5 to drop this price for a while but I can't pull the trigger. I've just got too many other games I'm planning to play through right now and this would either get thrown on the back burner with the rest of them or it would further delay the rest of them for a few weeks...months...years maybe if I started playing it first.

I want the DLC too so I'll wait until next year when the GOTY edition is a bit cheaper. Ughhh. Honestly I would've rather not seen this on sale at all.

If you are looking to buy Civ V for multiplayer my advice is: DONT

They put no effort whatsoever into the multiplayer side of it and you can tell.

Considering buying Splinter Cell: Conviction, is it worth buying?

Its a really good and entertaining third person shooter, totally go for it. The story is a little predictable and a little dumb but overall ok, and theres some replayability because there are different ways to do most of the missions. Also theres co-op and some extra missions/challenges.

Omg, limbo is finally up for a fairly big sale. I've wanted to play that for awhile.

Civ5 and The Witcher 2 are tempting, but I'm busy with Skyrim as my big game for the forseeable future so I can afford to gamble on the Christmas sale having both for even cheaper.

How is the gameplay on a keyboard & mouse?

just picked up Limbo, like it a lot. If you liked Braid this might interest you too, even though they're really different games, but the feel is similar.

What a meh last sale day. :/
I liked Section 8, but why would I want to buy the successor when I have battlefield?

So, any last minute tipps out of the general deals?

MTG is pretty cheap right now. If you've ever enjoyed it and don't play online already, it's a nice pickup for some fun. You don't get full customization, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Time to wait for the christmas sale.
