I would pick up The Legend. The later releases don't really change or add much to the game. Dark Side specifically just got out of early access and the reviews on steam for it are pretty terrible. They're all practically the same game so picking up the cheapest one is the way to go.
Thoughts on Skull Girls, especially as a person that usually doesn't play fighting games and probably won't play it online a lot (But who likes girls who kick ass), is it worth it?

Skullgirls is probably one of the most accessible fighting games out there, so yeah you should grab it. Make sure to get all the DLC chars too, and get Eliza while she's free

I think it is a good game. However, every single patch has wiped my in-game progress, and I've tried to contact the devs about it with no success

Patches for an MMO are usually big when you're on a data cap. It can take from anywhere between 200mb to 2gig+ easily. Also, don't expect a Skyrim Online out of The Elder Scrolls Online. The 2 games are very different, TESO is pretty much your generic MMO with an ES skin.
Finally got Transistor, wanted to play that game ever since I played Bastion. Is This War of Mine worth the money? Only a very small discount but it's not that expensive to begin with and I heard a lot of good things about it
