Sword of the Stars: The Pit is alright. If/when it's on sale it might be worth picking up. As for other roguelike/lites, you can get Tower of Guns, Risk of Rain, and Teleglitch from Humble Bundle for cheap right now and those are all really great. I really love Dungeons of Dredmor, although I've seen some people complain that once you get the hang of it, it's not that difficult.

Sword of the Stars: the Pit is mostly like if you took DoomRL and re-added all the bad roguelike tropes that DoomRL doesn't have. I don't really recommend it (just play DoomRL instead) but it's not bad.
Dredmor very clearly took inspiration from more Nethack-y roguelikes which I feel is a real problem because Nethack's design philosophy is not very good imo. Wacky, nonsensical, spoilery gameplay is not enjoyable for me, and Dredmor unfortunately decided that that was the direction to go. Also you heal over time but there's no rest-until-healed command (no, eating food does not count) which is an unforgivable UI transgression.
As for platformers, if you don't have it get Dustforce because it is the best 2d platformer. Then get mad because you didn't get it in the humble bundle.

You had to claim it on Origin a few weeks ago.

Make sure you check this thread every day, there are enough users to find those kinds of juicy deals.

We had Civ5 and mafia for free too less than a year ago. Checking the thread daily has its benefits

It's in the "VIP" section, for which you only need to create an account on Greenman Gaming.
I'm seriously tempted to just insta-buy DA:I now :D
Edit: Also, if someone from Europe has found a way to buy in $ instead of in € I would be glad to know. I used a VPN and shit but I think I still need either a US credit card or a US-based Paypal account. We fucking pay 10€ more for DA: Inquisition :'(

Newegg has a pretty massive 70% off sale right now. A lot of fairly recent games on the list.
I should mention that it's not international, US only

I got Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for free when I bought my new graphics card and I'm having tons of fun with the game. Is Borderlands 1/2 worth getting?

Click on the Humble Bundle tab and scroll down under the games.

Made $30+ yesterday from a free LC arcana item I crafted then sold on the Steam market. But none of the games I want on Steam are on sale or are that cheap. I was thinking about Watchdogs, but after reading the reviews it looks like it's not worth getting. Guess I will have to wait till the Christmas sale like last year and hope the games I want will be cheaper, which are Shovel Knight and Plague Inc Evolved (good reviews?)
Thinking of Dark Souls and Dark Souls II, worth?

Only played DS and it is a good game. Played it with gamepad, heard mixed reviews of mouse + keyboard on it. Make sure you get third party fixes for the games.
