The thing is there's a lot of of background info and more of a brain game as soon as you've beaten the game once. It then is moving away from a simple platformer to a puzzle game. I only played it once and skipped the whole puzzle game part (since imho moving around on the world map is a pita), but if you're into stuff like that it's supposed to be really good. Was grimrock in a bundle before? if so i can try go hunt for keys or trade with some other games Yes, Legend of Grimrock was the BTA game of the Humble Daily Bundle: Dungeons.

The Walking Dead Season 2 -50%, if you've played Season 1, you shouldn't stop there! Not as good as season 1, but still worth it. Two more episodes to come though. The Wolf among Us -66%, newest telltale game, similar point & click like The Walking Dead. Based on Fable universe. Final episode should come soon. One of my favorite games at the moment. Great characters, great story. Something to think about. Also Metro Last Light is absolutely worth it for -66%

I've been enojying Payday 2 more than I thought, wonder if Borderlands will be similar. It isn't. It certainly is more fun with friends, thats for sure. But as a game, Borderlands is FPS RPG.

I don't know much about the game, reviews seem to say it's pretty enjoyable but I've never really played any of the Civ games so /shrug. I remember looking at it awhile ago when it was like $20 and I was tempted to buy it. Single-player is definitely the main focus/polish of the game. If you like strategic turn based games this is one of the best ever made. You start out in the Ancient era researching things like pottery, the wheel, archery, and as the game progresses eventually you end up in the Future building nukes, jet fighters, and a space ship. There are 4 ways to win the game; Science, Domination(war), Diplomacy, and Culture. You mostly spend your time choosing what your cities are building and interacting with your army with some AI diplomacy on the side. I have 534 hours played so I'm probably a little biased but it's definitely value for $. I think there is a demo you can download to see if you would like it, but it probably doesn't include either expansions, both of which massively changed the game and made it what it should have been when it was released.

I remember looking at it awhile ago when it was like $20 and I was tempted to buy it. If you like turn-based strategy you will easily spend dozens of hours in this game. It doesn't have as much depth as Civ 4 or Europa Universalis but I played it for around 80 hours before getting bored and then again for over 60 hours after the expansion Brave New World and I'll probably get back to it in a few month or so. Edit: if you try to min-max and search the internet for the most effective way to win you will likely get bored way more quickly though, as there is a way to break the game. If you just start playing and figure out things on your own I think you will have way more fun with it and it will last for way longer. So I recommend if you get it to not try to copy any strategies or guides from the internet and just go ahead and have fun with the game instead

There's definitely an emphasis on single player, but the AI and the game's approach to increasing difficulty are really poor. The fact that science dominates all other playstyles is also pretty disappointing. That said, it's absolutely worth trying for that price.
