You can get some help for most bosses that way, but beware that it makes some boss fights extremely easy, to the point that your dudes kill the bosses on their own at times. So do try and kill the bosses on your own first, it's far more fun that way.

Its nice to see your enjoying the game rebuffering

Aw I was playing my Warrior of Sunlight at the Gargoyles last night, I helped a few folks out but we must have missed each other.
Random quick tips for beginners
- An upgraded weapon is going to make the world of difference, get your first weapon to +5 (later +10 when you find the large ember in the Depths!) as soon as possible from the first blacksmith you meet in undead parish, he sells the shards you need for 800 souls each
- Endurance is a fantastic stat, you can roll more, block more often with your shield and it increases your equip load so you can move faster in heavier armour
- Similar to how you summoned the Knight Solaire you can summon other players for co-op play for help in a specific area. look for golden or white summon signs near the bonfires (or sometimes near the bosses fog gates) to enlist the aid of fellow players. golden and white summon signs are the same the gold just means the player is part of the warrior of sunlight coven
There is a lot more to say but discovering stuff is half the fun in this game
I'll probably be hanging around Capra demon tonight on my Warrior of Sunlight so if you need help and see my sign don't hesitate to summon!

Isn't there a Dark Souls thread somewhere?

I bumped that thread so we can move our stuff over there. =)

Ok, I'm going to make a possibly questionable decision and pick up anno 2070. Is the dlc worth the $5 extra, or just fluff?

I loved Anno 2070, did the daily quests for months and waited avidly for the next world event (there are 5 or 6 and they rotate one each month and give 3 new solo maps) If you like building stuff, you should really like it ! The addon (Deep Ocean) is well worth it, the DLC tho not really as you can unlock what most DLC give for free by playing the world events.

I keep reading about a Sonic Collection or something for about 15€. Everytime I try to go to that page I get redirected to the main Steam store page.
So am I getting trolled or is it not availible in Germany or something?
|
Probably it's not available in Germany, I have no trouble getting to the collection page.
|
So I just got onto the page using an US proxy. I guess it really is unavailible in Germany, but I dont really understand why. One of the games in the bundle must not be allowed to be sold in Germany for some odd reason.
Edit: Guess not, guess either Sega or Valve doesnt want the bundle to be sold to me.

Can always ask American buddies to buy it for you and/or trade for it e.g. on reddit.

I didnt want to buy it over the proxy, I just wanted to know why I cant view it myself. And since every game of the bundle is availible for purchase individually for me, I have no answer to that. (guess its just germany, since its availible in UK aswell)

How's the Stanley Parable? It's around 11$ atm, I might wait for it to go back to $9 if it ever does. Worth?

It's really great, once you figure out what it's trying to do. The game's only a couple hours long though. Try the demo, it's hilarious as well.

Eh, I am probably one of the few that seemed to hate it. I bought it for full price since everyone, including TB was praising that game up and down. The narration was cool was like 10 minutes, besides that I was just exploring a building by myself. I think I ended getting two endings or something before I uninstalled it. I did like the fact that they at least had different endings. Also got pretty bad motion sickness from it for some reason, same thing that happened with Half Life 2 for me..
I guess it depends if you enjoy those kinds of games, just don't expect it to hold your attention for too long...
Ended up getting Gunpoint since it's pretty cheap and I have been interested in it for awhile. Also got Brothers. I was watching some of it on a stream yesterday and it looked good.
