I haven't tried playing on US East, so I don't know how the lag issues are there. I did try US West and that didn't end well

Most europeans in my experience have about 100ish ping to US east coast servers, ditto for people on the west coast of the US.

I dont feel much of a difference between EU and US East

This is a great idea, latency permitting. From personal experience, you Germans and Scandinavians are a blast to FPS with

Blue Liquid? (Remember dragoons?)

You could go for Liquid Republic/Conglomerate/Sovereignty depending on faction.

So you prefer the "Terran Republic" - actually Terran Dictatorship - to Freedom, Democracy and Big F***ing Guns? Their main battle tank can siege up, fine, but it's still a "Prowler", i.e. too afraid of real battles and rather sneaks around because after decades of rulership they forgot how to face a real opponent.
Or do you prefer the faction that would submit everything to some aliens we don't know anything about the second they appear? They can't even build proper tanks that can shoot sideways. And then their super high-tech airplane "Scythe", illuminated like the car of someone with inferiority complexes just so everyone can see their great flying... except they had to give the plane a different propulsion system because the vanu pilots couldn't fly straight otherwise.
