GAMING FORUM HARD DROP HOSTS TETRIS® TOURNAMENT
Popular gaming community forum Hard Drop is hosting an online Tetris® tournament. Blue Planet Software, Inc., the company that manages the exclusive licensing rights to the Tetris brand, is inviting fans to have their own front row ticket to the championship.
For the past month, contestants have been competing against each other in online matches and now it's down to the two finalists. Adding to the excitement of this intense Tetris tournament, Blue Planet Software, Inc. is hosting a live webcast, complete with commentators. Now, Tetris fans around the world can not only watch the finalists compete, but feel like they're part of the action.
All tournament prizes have been donated by Blue Planet Software, Inc. The champion will be awarded an iPod touch®, autographed Alexey Pajitnov T-shirt, Tetris® Party Deluxe game for the WiiTM, a Tetris flash drive and title of "World's Greatest Multiplayer Tetris Player".

The finals will feature Blink and Hebo-MAI, two of the best in the world, who battled their way through a 256-player tournament to reach the finals. Hebo-MAI will be in the upper part of the double-elimination bracket having defeated Blink earlier in the tournament with a score of 15-10.

Blink is an accomplished tournament player, winning the first three HardDrop Open (HDO) tournaments. The California native is likely the best NA/EU vs. mode player.
Hebo-MAI is, in Blink's own words, the BEST female Tetris player in the world. Representing Japan, she has been the only player to pose a threat to Blink's supremacy. Who's actually apparently male.
In the only HDO Hebo competed in she placed second to Blink with a 15-12 result. In that double elimination tourney they met 3 times with a total tournament score of 43-42 in favor of hebo.
