I love the game. The weapons feel good, and the hit registration is working properly. And the fact that you can unlock every weapon for each side is AWESOME.
Teamwork was surprisingly good, my squadmates supplied me with ammo, I threw medkits, etc...
imo, the best is when you're the medic running around yelling DEFIB! DEFIB! and constantly reviving teammates in a big battle
10 points away from unlocking the defibrillator. Then I'll do exactly that.
With that helivid just being posted it reminded me once again how much i suck ass at flying helis, cant fly for more than 30 seconds before i just fly straight into the ground. Anyone have any noobguides or whatnot for it? :E
I said screw responsibility last night and got to sit down and play 11 games last night. I must have been super lucky, because I was in the "ace squad" 7 of those games (it should be mentioned that I'm only an average player so I'm not capable of carrying a squad). It was super fun to be in squads that had team work and we're aiming for the objectives instead of just running around like rambo. If only they woulda had mics it could have been even more fun. Only had 1 guy in 1 game that talked lol.
So does anyone out there have it for xbox? I know, I know ... ew xbox, but my PC isn't good enough . My gamertag is failbear if you want to add me. Like I said, I'm a pretty average player, but I am up for teamwork.

Yeah that's what I do, to the peril of my KDR - which is sitting at like 1 due to many suicide defib runs. The way I look at it, if I can get at least 2 guys up it was more than worth it.
Finally got this. It's an excellent shooter so far, probably the best I've ever played, but there's some things that are really bugging me. The biggest one by far is the holy freaking damn piece of crap blindness when you spawn on a squad member.
I've died innumerable times already from being shot before I can even see, but the alternative - spawn in base - is incredibly far away from the action because the whole thing is balanced for squad spawns. Increasing the rate and ease of spawn-rape is not an acceptable solution to the problems that squad-spawn introduces.

Daaaaamn.. I'd like to learn to do that. Is that possible with a keyboard and mouse or is it infinitely easier if you use a joystick? I've never seen those maneuvers on BC2, I always thought air was boring so I sticked to good old infantry tactics lol.
edit: nvm just read the description, he's using a kb and m lol.
Flying low is the best if you're not actively pursuing something. Most pilots can't hang with you, shit on the ground will block a lot of missile locks from infantry. The danger is the draw distance. Trees are easy to spot, but poles and shit can sometimes sneak up on you and you're kind of boned if you don't know where they are!
Not to pat myself on the back or anything but seeing that video get 55k views makes me want to get out fraps. The only issue in the video is any good pilot can do what hes doing but you never get the chance because most servers have fast spawn now and you can't let the other chopper get a drop on you. Same reason why when I pilot on the tl server I mostly just wait for the other chopper get the drop on it go kill maybe go kill one tank(you have like 15second maybe until the other chopper spawns) and back to chopper vs chopper. Rinse and repeat.

I created a Xbox platoon several days ago, just search "team liquid" in the platoon search, and you'll see the one and only xbox tl platoon (with only 2 members for now...I'll link it later..on my phone right now). Not as useful as the pc platoons, but still something for us xbox folks who are too lazy to upgrade our PC.
I got the second best thing my friend recording while I pilot. It's on the tl server so you might see yourself show up a few times. Hes more of a clip guy, but I'll ask him to put full kill sprees with me and him in the helis.
Also, sorry I was douche and mostly camped the heli spawn all night <3 I'll give someone else a chance tonight.

Do the second coop mission. It will let you mess around and get used to flying a chopper.

I'm curious. Compared to the starting sniper rifles, the SKS takes way more hits to kill someone (vs the 3 hits to the body / 1 hit to the head of the SVD and MOD). How are you using it and do you know exactly how many hits it takes to kill with SKS?
I've stopped using the SKS to snipe. It's a battle rifle, not really a sniper rifle. Better to use it unscoped or ACOGed for medium-range combat instead. It works decently in mid-to-close quarters as well, though not as well as an autofire rifle, obviously.
Just hit level 8, I'm pretty sure I've just finished playing on every map. Can't wait for strike at karkand to come out, that map was like 75% of battlefield 2 for me.

Feel free to add me if you want. Be nice to talk to another TL'er. GT: Xinder23. My best friend and I usually play and hang out in party chat so we don't have to listen to anyone else on the team lol. More than welcome to join us. We've played the last two nights and are usually in the Ace Squad but are prob average players or slightly above average all things considered.
As I'm starting to level Engineer, is the class weapons (such as the SCAR-L) available to both Russia and Americans? Want to know what is my next level to get up now that I got my M4 all good.
yeah once you get past the initial weapons you can use the unlocks with either faction.
on that note the AEK kicks ass. I'm purposefully just levelling assault as i didn't get a good chance to play it in beta, figured i'll level an entire class first then get started on the rest. Fairly challenging gameplay, spend a lot of time cowering waiting for engi's to deal with a tank, but standing on a health pack and firing into an alley is sick ^_^
