Trying to play on my laptop now, and the game just won't work. The client never opens if I use quick match, and if I try to use the server browser, it will get to "initializing" and then just stop trying to join the server completely and nothing else will happen.

a friend lent me his account, i noticed an annoying but with the key settings. once you tried to bind a key, the mouse will disappear from the screen and you won't be able to select other key binds but with the arrows of the keyboard. second thing, i had to work a bit to be able to set the correct keys to be working. third, i play with a left-hand deathadder and by default it recognize it, but i play with normal right click-left click (so left shoot-right zoom) but i can't bind the mouse keys, which is what i did on bc2 because of this problem. so my experience on bf3 wasn't that smooth lol
game runs well for me on a amd x4 955, ati 5870 (i let the game choose the graphic options, it turns out it runs well on 1900x1200 graphic on high v-sync off) 4 gb ram.

Exactly, I expected to at least play something that Metro, because honestly this looks way too similar to the Alpha build where they were only able to play metro as well. The say that they don't want everyone playing Caspian Border because it's too buggy that's what beta testing is for. Honestly this is more of a Battlefield 3 demo than a Battlefield 3 beta.

Except everyone seem to have at least tried the Caspian Border once despite their "internal testing" plans. And it wasn't that buggy when i tried it, so this excuse is even more ridiculous.

But yeah, i agree with you guys - it's ridiculous. All the hype about Caspian Border months before the beta got me hyped but once again DICE disappointed, which isn't really a surprise. Still would like them to open the map for everyone without any limits.

Oh btw, BF3 forums are utter garbage, so painful to read all the idiots there.. ^_^

I guess I'm one of the few that actually like Operation Metro, lol. It doesn't have the true Battlefield feeling, but more on the side of Call of Duty, but I think it's a fun map. It gets pretty intense and chaotic sometimes if you actually have the right players in the server.

I like it as well, but after playing like 40 matches yesterday I'm burnt out and wanna try a new map // game mode.

Also I think with competent teams defending is way easier than attacking, Particularly at points 1B, 2A, 2B, and 3B. 1A, 3A, 4A and 4B are all slightly attacker favored, though, so maybe it balances out. I've just won such a large amount of games camping in the cap room in a corner in 2A and 2B, and in the hallway next to 3B. As long as 1-2 people (from different squads) are camped in the room so that people can rez there it's ridiculously hard to take from the attacker side.
