Also really close there's the drunken huntsman which is open 24hs (again, to sell). It has 1 general goods shop close by, 1 alchemy/ingredients saleshouse close by too. It also has a market not far away to sell food. Far from it, but still inside Whiterun you have a mage to sell scrolls, mage apparel too as well. It's also the cheapest house and can be aquired early on the game! I have that house. but I cant find where to buy the upgrades. I think its bugged. your supposed to buy them off that chick that joins you right? guy you bought the house at also sells you the upgrades

I'm kind of at the point where I might be done with Skyrim until the construction kit is released and those crazy creative people start releasing mods. I just feel like I end up doing the same thing over and over, I don't do the "just explore everything" bit very well. I make a lot of new characters, I go to the same dungeons over and over and when I decide to branch out and explore I feel like I've seen most of these places already (even though I know I haven't). Then I'm concerned about clearing out a dungeon and screwing up a future quest.
Its frustrating, I love this game and I'd be rather happy to be obsessively playing the game again but I can't help but feel I've exhausted my Skyrim-ing for the time being.

Was there somekind of patch for skyrim in last 2-3 days? I cant play it because steam wants to download something but it crashes everytime I start updating...

Totally agreed on all accounts! I love my Breezehome

Which house has the best view? I was about to buy from Solitude, but it's fucking 25k D:

I bought Breezehome personally, but I'm thinking that if I'm gonna have a fake video game house inside of an awesome video game world, I might as well have the most expensive fake video game house inside of an awesome video game world. Is Solitude's the most expensive?

How can Breezehome get an enchanting spot? Just alchemy table.

So...is it normal that my companions always "yield" at 1hp and then regen before attacking the enemies again? i just lost my campanions when enemy had poison ( poison dmg doesnt care about yielding) or when i killed him accidently when he was on his knees with 1hp.
If i could make my companiens mortal that would be nice.

I was wrong about the enchanting, sorry. I didn't fully upgrade Breezehome, I wish I did though. Got Proudspire Manor, but it's too big for my liking, also although Solitude is not bad, it's more intricate than Whiterun.

Here's all the houses you can get, with their upgrades, costs, etc (click on each house name, it has pics too).

Can't sorry, you can fast travel to Dragonsreach though (press M for map with PC) and it's pretty close by that way (can't be encumbered though).

If you need an enchanter, I would get Hjerim. Even though I hate Windhelm, it has lots of display cases, shelves and chests. That way you can organize your stuff and drop everything alchemy related in one place without mixing it up with other stuff, same with smithing stuff, enchanting, etc.

If i'm not allowed to do this sorry but bumping my post as its annoying me as I now have time after exams to finally get down and play properly
I seem to be having an issue with my ps3. Whenever I try and have a conversation with anybody so that for instance load up a trade screen, training, etc it just bugs out and refuses to get to that actual section. I hear the audio for various bits but thats about it.
Any ideas? D:

Solitude is the most expensive. But the best house IMO is Hjerim. You have so many weapon cases and racks in there. Three mannequins too.
Only thing I hate is Windhelm's crappy weather.

I only wished riften had some boxes for alchemy/enchanting. Then it would be perfect.

I feel like an old lady when playing Skyrim, I have a safe full of collars, gems, rings, etc that I'm never going to use lol.
I also save like every fucking book I come across that's worth more than 10.

if anyone ever wants Chaurus Eggs and glowing Mushrooms. Check out the Lighthouse west of Saarthal. It has a little quest with a nice permanent perk you gain and you can collect around 350-400 Chaurus Eggs there.
Chaurus eggs can be unsed for invisibility potions.
