I don't have the game yet but I've read that unchecking the "Xbox 360 controller" option in the menu enables full mouse support. Can anyone confirm? Apparently its kind of pre-loaded for those USB controllers you can buy and plug in. Can anyone confirm that such an option exists or not? This would explain a LOT of things.

Controls are bad, but I expected them to be considering it's a console port. It is definitely playable, but hopefully Bethesda or someone else will solve this annoying problem. The menu system they have implemented sucks pretty bad too, whether you have bad controls or not. I don't like the map much because it's too hard to get a good overview (why can't you zoom out all the way?!). I have mixed feelings about the graphics. On one hand I have some pretty awesome textures (I came when I saw the photorealistic mountainside for the first time) and some awesome lighting effects. On the other hand, the environment seems as detailed as in Oblivion, I was hoping for more than the same repeated patch of "grass" every few feet on the ground. The snowing is also getting on my nerves. It was nice for 5 minutes, after that it just felt like they were trying to hide the underwhelming detail with a constant snowstorm. The water is pretty epic looking too. This is with every setting on highest except for the distant object detail which is at medium. I haven't got that far yet in the actual game to comment on content. All I've done is ran through half the map, just sneaking around killing things and seeing what I could find on the way to my destination. The gameplay feels basically like Oblivion. I like how the content isn't as intrusive as in Oblivion though, if that makes sense (for example I've not had NPCs ganging up on me and whining about their problems, not yet atleast.). I really like the character style though. Every character I've seen so far seem way more real than in Oblivion. A warrior actually looks like a battlehardened warrior in this game, complete with scars and a dirty appearance, though I've seen barmaids who looked just as badass, so perhaps it's not all good ![]() If anyone has dabbled in alchemy yet... + Show Spoiler + Do I really have to eat each damn ingredient to find the effects, or is there a more convenient way, like an NPC who can teach you stuff or maybe a book? See, I'm at the Magic College presently and I *think* I've spoken to all the NPCs but none of them happened to be some sort of alchemy expert. Did I miss someone? I've also checked all the books in the library but none of them contain anything about alchemy. EDIT: Oh, forgot to tell you I was in a barfight, the dude was asking for it and I kicked his ass. He even gave me money afterwards, how humiliating!

NWN 1 gameplay was pretty mediocre in terms of lets say the higher ground Persistant world created by players (and is still being run) in fact Higher ground has been the best Online RPG experience i've had in a long time. (it's a NWN mod) but the plot of NWN1 is original and is displayed to the player very very well revealing slowly the whole story as you go from quest to quest slowly getting closer to the real problem without even knowing that the game is not coming to an end. NWN2 Plots were good but the game itself so poor compared to NWN1 that most NWN fans didn't really like nwn2.

It's a huge world/map and you can literally traverse anywhere you want. See a huge mountain wayyy in the distance and you want to go there, well you can. There is a main storyline, but there are tons of side missions and side activity to do. It is just so fun running around and discovering the world. It's an epic rpg and if you're a fan of rpg's then this is the game for you.
