Warcraft 2 - My (7 years older) brother once made me play this game until I cried
Quake 2 - Since Quake 2 (and Action Quake 2) there has been one fps to hold my attention as long, Warsow, funny, built on the q2fusion engine.
I won't link three images for the next, but Ultima Underworld, Ultima Underworld 2 and Ultima 7: The Black Gate are all fantastic games. Mostly the underworlds though. So good.

Its not even funny how accurate that first post was about me, I'd add mario and escape from monkey's island 3-4 as well tho.

Don't know of anyone played

Best (single-player) fps games I've played. Fuck CoD.
Kinda sad that developers went from this action/stealth and humor packed game into Blood/Fear games.

Since I haven't seen this one mentioned yet: Dark Castle on the old Mac OS 6. Countless hours with my brother, and we never ever managed to finish the game. Got the shield no problem, fireballs we got close, but the middle door was just impossible.

Jeez, this basically reads like my autobiography...
- Duck Tales (NES, first game I actually beat)
- Ghosts and Goblins (NES, didn't even come close to beating it) - Street Fighter 2 (SNES) - Super Mario Kart (SNES) - Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (SNES) - Tetris Attack (SNES, I still play this today, along with Pokemon Puzzle League for harder AI. Honestly, I intend to host of commentated tournament if there's interest, and if I can figure out how to get emulated netplay working. Stay tuned!)
- Sim City 2000 (PC) - Warcraft II (PC)
- Seven Kingdoms (PC, actually, I think this deserves a screenshot, it's THAT obscure)
![[image loading]](http://www.gamershell.com/static/screenshots/2959/47575_full.jpg)
- Total Annihilation (PC) - The Incredible Machine (PC) - The Lost Mind of Dr. Brain (PC)
- The Logical Journey of the Zoombinis (PC) - Treasure Math Storm (PC)
![[image loading]](http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kstqvfDlE91qzd1jno1_400.jpg)
- Math Blaster: Secret of the Lost City (PC)
- Carmen SanDiego: Junior Edition (PC) - Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen (SNES - still gets me addicted whenever I decide to play through it. The N64 version, Person of Lordly Calibur is far superior - actually I'd put it in the running for best tactical RPG of all time, it doesn't get nearly enough love here - due to the dropping of the Charisma system, as well as the story, but alas the N64 version was not a part of my childhood.)
- FFVII (PS, let me make myself clear: I do not like this game at all now. However, I do admit to spending an entire summer trying to resurrect a certain character without using gameshark)
- Megaman Legends (PS, have played the sequel since then, but I'm just salivating for a third installment! C'mon Capcom, gogogogo!)

Not the first game played, but definitely one of those I miss the most.
First game I played, I think might have been battleships. Don't actually remember how it looked, but something like this I guess.

I remember I played games on the first IBM my dad had. But I can't remember the names of them, anyone knows?
EDIT: Found out! Looked at the pic above of the lost mind of Dr brain and asked dad, and that was it, AWESOME, thanks!

The fact that these are all from your childhoods makes me feel painfully old.
Am I the only one who went to a midnight release for Zelda 2 the Adventure's of Link in 1987?

This thread makes me feel old >_>
I used to have an Atari 2600 with games like ET and whatnot... which, btw, was THE most frustrating game in the world to play... My uncle had a Colecovision, and any time we were over there it was either that or pinball for the kids to play. We got a Packard Bell 386 computer back in the day, and it had such wonderful DOS games like Commander Keen, Biomenac, the original side scrolling duke nukem games (or really any game where you had to hold ctrl and alt to shoot / jump / whatever), text adventures like Amnesia and Escape from NY, Castle of the Winds, Dungeons of Drakklor, pretty much all the Moraff's world games, King's Quest, and Ken's Labyrinth... We also had some wolfenstein type game called Blake Stone or something like that... I miss my 386/486 games =0\
Obligatory pictures of an Atari 2600 and a Colecovision...

Legend of Dragoon
Warlords original (the demo)
The demo had 1 map and you got 40 turns, it was the first place I learned to multitask when I was only 3 or 4 years old, I remember how happy I was to capture 48 castles in the 40 turns.
Pokemon Red
And of course every blizzard game ever.

I'll just throw these in here. Ive also played the obvious ones like wc2, contra, starcraft, prince of persia 1, red alert, c&c and stuff like that. The only console i ever owned was a NES, got my pc around 99'
