From my understanding if you want to join another server you may but only as a 'guest', so you have restricted access to things like the auction house. I'm not sure of the full details.

They have a ranking system and I believe they will manually change the rankings when one server is being beaten too badly, next to just giving points for winning, at least in the first couple of weeks. Of course they might wait for the first influx of players to have ended before they do that.

Seems like the server for TL guild is a pretty low population server if you check gw2guilds.org so I might just pick that.
BTW who will be sending out the invites? Kurr.4179 is my account.
I won't be playing much 1st week (off tomorrow but working 7 days in a row after then university starts) but I'll probably manage a couple of hours a day even with work.

Don't think I'll be joining you guys on Ehmry Bay, but def want to join the guild to rep TL once it gets going.
@heishe: Have you tried the guild wars 2 main page and registered? It'll prompt you to enter your GW2 key and link your GW1 account if you already have one, which will activate your account and let you DL the game. Need the key though

I just pre-ordered this since a lot of my friends are going to play. I'm not really sure what ]profession I want to play as, though. Didn't particulary like the Necromancer when I played in one of the beta events. So I've been thinking about Ranger, Engineer or Warrior... I'll be getting my key on the 27th, so I guess I've got a couple of days to decide luckily

This part is actually false. They will be coming up 3hours early so they can fix any problems that might happen at launch. Therefore it will actually be 12am EST that headstart access starts and 10pm PST.
Their facebook posted this information about a week ago and a Dev on their forums posted the same information confirming.
I'm aware that their homepage countdown has to set for the 12am PST launch but then that would contradict 2 different Arenanet people personally saying otherwise.

I'll certainly hammer the servers ASAP, but I would trust the official website over a forum post or a facebook comment, but maybe I'm too old fashioned. My comment isn't false however, the website countdown corresponds to 12am PDT

They said up to 3 hours so they might not come up early or they might come up 2 hours early, 1 hour early, 5 minutes early, etc. They never said for sure 3 hours early they just said up to (and I hope it is 3 hours early )
