The only use of dps meters is to help maximize dmg, which can be done without. Unless all you care about is how much dmg you do in relation to others... | ||

Oh man...really? completely refusing to play a game because you can't tell if your tank can't generate enough threat based on meters? You need meters to tell if your healers can't keep up with mob DPS? Hahah. While I agree they help a LOT in their own respective ways, not giving a game a chance at all because they don't exist is kind of sad. They weren't integrated in WoW until the DPS / Healing / Threat meters were the most popular addons the game had. Give it a chance, lol. | ||

If the kid doesn't know how to play an MMO without meters, then please don't come play tera. It's those type of kids that go onto new MMO's and spam the lowest level chat with WoW facts and saying WoW is the best.( Just happened in rifts beta) Another thing, even if tera added meters, this kid sounds like he wouldn't understand the whole "timing" aspect of the game where as he can't just smash a bunch of buttons after he has clicked on the guys character. | ||

Again, WoW just because it's the only MMO I've really played signifigantly. Torenhire the pally tank. Pull: press W for shield throw Generate threat. 1234qwe button for spells Move out of shit on the ground. Face boss away from other raiders. repeat Granted that's kind of broad but it just was SO repetitive to me. No fun at all when all the boss fights are the same. Instead of move out of poison, it's move out of fire, oh noes. I had so much fun in Nax40 just because the fights were so mechanically challenging. I've got a Tuner that feeds one of my monitors at my desk and I'd just raid on my center monitor and watch TV on the left or right because it was simple to just...do the starcraft equivalent of 1a2a3a lol. | ||
