Been like a week since the last time they had a network failure like that, it's only partially down this time though, server status shows that the servers are up, login server are down for sure. And it seems that some routes to their server are down, so some people like me can't even open a site. And I'm playing on AV server atm, *thanks* to some of my friends. They wanted to try Tera and I wanted to move from the EU server, so we started there. Then they quit and I'm stuck there untill they open transfers. AV is not bad, plenty of people (less than TR/MT though, I'd say about a half of that). Probably gonna move to TR too, although it's nice to have some free spots for farming and nexuses. | ||

And letting those new servers to "grow up" a bit was the main reason why transfers and ques were closed. Prices are not that different already, for the most stuff at least. | ||

For me the culprit would be 64.37.205.6 (it's a savvis.net IP), trace ends one hop before it and since all my traffic to enmasse's servers, site, forums etc goes through that hop, I can't access anything at all. Some are more lucky and have different routes to other servers/login servers, so they can access at least something... Still sucks, it's been like 12 hours or so, can't believe it takes so long to re-route some traffic. If they won't fix it in the next 4-5 hours, I'll have to use some VPN to do dailies. :/ | ||

Some hop at savvis.net has died (maybe more than one, I don't know), if your traffic to the server were going through that hop - you can't connect to server/site at all. A small difference for people/countries is that some traffic for some goes through other lines, so for some game works just fine, for some just some servers are off (there're different combos if believe to enmasse forums, like CH only, or CH + LoT etc) and for the rest nothing works. Since I know how my normal route to the server looks, I could easily see that now it doesn't go past a certain hop. Tell me your lvl 1 toon's name and I can send you a scroll... so you can check things out yourself. VPN works for me, but it lags me like no tomorrow. Need just ~25 silver or so to get to the broker which I collected on the way to the Tower Base (people leveling alts usually don't pick up bronze/silver money drops), where I originally planned to ask for those. With 25 silver you can get BoL tele scroll from special vendor, then unstuck and voila, can check the broker. Optionally you can do a few quests to get level 5 (I think), then do a quest to get arunic panacea, then buy BoL scroll, unstuck, sell panacea for 2-3 gold (need some silver to list if you're not elite) and can buy a scroll to Velika. And it's super laggy with VPN for sure, even just doing dailies. But better than nothing I suppose and I have a feeling they are not gonna fix it today. It looked like they would when site/forums were working for about an hour earlier, but now... At least EME posted something, when EU login server were off for a long time a few weeks ago, Gameforge didn't posted a single thing for like 20 hours. | ||

They also ban accs for that from time to time. On top of that, their ToS says that 1 person can have only 1 account, so logging to another account from the same PC may and will lead to a ban as well. And it's kinda hard to hide as well. Login servers using iesnare, which generates unique key in the appdata folder and bunch of SNPR1 key in registry (unique too). It's a combination of main (with OS on it) HDD/SSD's ID, windows and other stuff. | ||

And then people wonder why I abandoned my chars there and moved to NA server instead. While it wasn't the only reason, it still counts. Also their economic if fucked up. 60 bams doesn't drop SES, so average price for those are 7-10k. They don't sell alkahest, so masterwork alka cost about 300g, just a lil less than MES. And almost everything from the shop such as costumes, skins etc is not tradable. Also difference between buying their "EMP" (they are called different ofc) is 400% betwen buying 10 euro and 100 euro bundle. 25-35% difference I can understand, maybe even 50% if compare lowest amount with highest one, but not 400%. GF is also cheap as hell, during their anniversary 2x drop event every instance had 2x, but MC (both versions). The only instance that is worth farming when you reached end game didn't had 2x drop... | ||
