I can't hear that phrase anymore :p . Nobody can deny the potential Africa has, but with the kind of government/social and financial structures many countries over there have it's just hard to progress. Just listen to what people like Dinzey(someone of African descent who played Bundesliga and tried/is trying to help football in Africa) say about football in Africa, it's nothing positive about the circumstances there.
Imo they will only fall further behind because Asia really is evolving, they have the potential and the infrastructures to make use of it. So I kinda agree with Mafe, Asia should get one of the African spots.
And about the "bad" performance of Europe: The top 3 were all European.
But who will take that spot? China? Mongolia? there is simply noone even on par with the Africans in Asia. If a spot is changed it has to go to Europe if we are honest.
I think the distribution is fine the way it is. gotta remember that africa had one more spot than normal last WC due to south africa being given one by default.
if anything northern+central america+caribbean should lose one spot, not africa. it's currently mexico+usa+random crap anyway. I don't mind that so much personally though, it's the world cup, there being 2-3-4 random crappy teams every year doesn't hurt the competition at all, it just gives some incentive to keep spreading football.
that being said I definitely think they should reinstate automatic spot for champion.. even if it means they just subtract one spot for the continent the champion hails from. while spain is gonna qualify anyway, it'd be absolutely retarded if they didn't.
Milan apparently already signed Menez, who will join them when the season finishes.http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/edit.php?action=edit&post_id=2465&topic_id=133836¤tpage=124
dunno where Milan are getting all that money, weren't they broke or something last season? I remember they coudlnt even afford Luis Fabiano or Aly Cissoko. if this signing completes Milan is a serious candidate for the CL next year

No its not Oceanie you should know that noob, what do they learn you at school. Just joking know what you mean. Did they ever host a wc before? And how is state of football in Australia? Is it populair ore not and is it growing? (Those things are pretty important if it is about hosting a World Cup).
I think regarding NA/SA, the playoff for the last spot will most likely be from SA, so that should be fine. While I do think Asian football is growing (the last final stage qualifying group was super close), at the moment they aren't on par with African teams just yet, so I feel that the allocating spots are sufficient. Besides, every year we will be ±1 AFC team anyways, it just depends on if they can beat New Zealand =3
The season of Bayerrn Munich is getting better and better every day, they really try to make my birthday joyful: championship lost, cup semi-final lost already. My world would become perfect if now Bayern now dominates Hannover 85 minutes, leads 1-0, and then gets 2 goals in the last 5 minutes from ex-Bayern playere Schlaudraff, and therefor drop out of Champions League spots, and half a week later they get teared apart by Inter and don't reach quarter finals. Please, football god, please

Are you serious norlock?? LOL
Australian is in the AFC for World Cup Quals... I think you should maybe read up on football outside of the EU. SoMuchBetter was talking in the context of football obviously.
Man Utd vs Liverpool tomorrow night, Utd without Vidic + Ferdinand.. I reckon we're gonna go down to Liverpool =[
arsenal v sunderland in 1 hour. I hope i'm wrong in saying its not going to be an easy game. no Fabregas, no RVP, no walcott, no Song. Bendtner plays great 1/5 games, and chamakh scored his first goal midweek in 3 months.
Hoping diaby chamakh arshavin and bendtner all start and and find some form for Champions League midweek. Or i'd be happy to see Ramsey back at the Emirates. Rosicky and Denilson have really struggled this season.
starting to get really really nervous. potentially 1 point away from Man u!!!!

when he writes 'Just joking' in his post, he probably isn't serious
haha that's pretty funny. normally I can understand when people claim to have problems understanding sarcasm on the internet, but this is a little different.
I can't believe arsenal tied... there was a clear penalty not given... it was so obvious it was disgraceful and the bad offside call on arshavin was garbage as well ... wtf
Ok I'm getting pretty tired of this now, every damn week, this thread gets filled with arsenal related whine about how the ref hates them and its a total conspiracy, get over it. If you stopped being so trash maybe you wouldn't need the ref to win the game for you
The funny thing is half of these guys aren't even Gunners fans and they're just speaking the truth regarding bad calls in a soccer game o_O. So, why flame?
