Diablo III unofficial FAQ ==================
- What can we expect from the storyline, single player, cooperative, cinematics and stuff?
They are all gonna be awesome.
- What can we expect about PvP?
Just like all leveling games, the player with most XP/stats/gear usually wins. Player skill is a secondary factor.
- Is PvP going to be balanced?
No, there will be overpowered combos and messy stuff.
- Is Diablo III a game for eSports?
No.
- How can I get better gear?
Farm like crazy and be lucky. Or spend gold/real money to buy what you want.
- Is it worth spending extra real world cash on virtual items, so I can kill other people easily in such non-competitive non-balanced non-esports game?
No, unless you have some weird personal reason for that.
- Can I make money farming items to sell?
You probably can make a lot more cash per hour doing any other regular job, since you'll be competing with chinese people, which will spend a lot more time than you and sell stuff a lot cheaper than you would see fit for your effort.
- What if I get lucky and find the best items to sell in little time?
You just won the lottery!
- Is anyone gonna make real money with Diablo III?
Of course. Blizzard! And maybe some people playing the Auction House buying and reselling items to exploit people willing to pay their way into getting stronger in a messy multiplayer game.

They are having PvP arenas in the game, It will become competitive. WoW was never thought of as an esport but then there was a huge market for it cause of the player base being so huge. It will eventually become an e-sport maybe not at first but somewhere in the expansions there will be tournaments for D3

Unfortunately that's completely up to Blizzard, if Blizz chooses to actually focus on the Arena and balance everything then yeah it could be an esport. However, Blizzard has made if VERY clear that the Arena won't be balanced and they won't be working to make it that way - of course that could change at some point but if it's unbalanced horribly it can't be an esport.

they say they won't balance it for PvP, but the nerd rage will force blizzards hand. No-one wants to PvP if there hero gets roflstomped because of unbalances.

So I heard that PvP arena will be team deathmatch now?
|
if they start balancing pve because pvp, there will be nerd rage, so no, they wont balance pvp

They won't do if they don't want to/have the time - have you seen the hundreds of things SC2 is still missing that are very important?
Like I said, Blizz has made it clear this isn't a PvP focused game so buying it and hoping that changes at some point is hopeful at best. Maybe it will be an esport sometime, but maybe not and the only real indication so far is no, it won't be competitive or at least it won't be balanced and it won't be Blizzard's focus.

Sigh, jewed by blizzard once again lol

Considering that an arena system is at the core of the game, and the developers' budget is exponentially greater than it was in 2000, it does seem that there is hope that the PvP system will at least be somewhat balanced for team battles (a la WoW). Granted, 1v1 is going to be a mess.

If I get an undesired effect, do I need to perform surgery on my character to remove the offending rune? Will there be any actual ability to know effects of runes before socketing, or is this just going to turn into another casino?
You can unsocket the rune and put another one. It's not very difficult to understand. Would you rather just pay 1 gold and have all the items you'd ever want delivered to your shared stash? Would the game be fun then?
Dude, go wank or take out your angst and stress on someone more deserving. Oh, and learn to read; I obviously came into this thread with no understanding of how the system works. Worthless poster.

woah... someone needs to learn the definition of "angst." and then look at his own post...
Calm down tiger, it'll be ok
Plus, I know it's 170+ pages, but the information *is* technically here, so you don't really have a pot to piss in to get all cranky like you did.
Jus' sayin'
