I want to get an item and feel satisfied and accomplished, not torn and uneasy. How does everyone else feel about situations like this? If you found an item worth hundreds of dollars, what would be your course of action? I'd feel very satisfied finding an item in a video game and getting 100 dollars for it. As long as I don't need the item for my own char I dont see any issue with it.

If you have a char that could use said item you could just use it for a while then sell it when you get something better. But if you find one of those items that is the best for that item slot then I dunno. You could probably use it until your done with that char then sell it to help start up a new char?

The consumer who pays the cost of this solution. It isn't a debate about multi player vs single player. Its that blizzard sacked the whole single player aspect and attempted to make it another terrible mmo or assassins creed with griefers...

Remember, don't make too much money orelse Skatteverket will be knocking on your door ![]() EDIT: and btw, with everyone as possible sellers, i think very very few players will get any big numbers for their items.

And what if one of your friends wanted it? Could you give your friends items, particularly ones worth significant amounts of real money?

My reaction would depend on several things.. Now a guy like me who likes to play the Auction House may sell it, espeically for real money and definitely if I needed the money at the time! However, the stat min/maxer in me says that if it's something I have been desperately looking for to complete a build, I may keep it regardless of the price.

I dislike the idea of a RMT AH, but I can get over that by just choosing not to use it. However, between that and not displaying a record/rating, I feel this really hurts pvp. I'm not going to make some knee jerk false claim like I won't buy the game anymore. But I'm certainly not hyped up about it anymore, and I probably won't put anywhere near the time in this game that I originally would have.

However it's in no way surprising. (2) If I had to choose between UI mods and features, and no Bots/cheating plaguing the game... I'd pick no bots. If later down the line they can give us both, more power to them... In the mean time, if the first option is really your thing, TL2 is going to be doing that... However they obviously can't make the second option happen. (3)I honestly kinda like the system. It looks like a huge money grab, but I don't know... It sounds like something I could like. If someone out there is going to be trying to sell stuff anyways, why shouldn't I be also able to do the same, and safely. Not the best news, but "Marching the streets"? Please... (1) Wait, are you saying Ubisoft is a good example? I had to download a pirated version of the game I bought from them, because they were having problems AT THEIR END for 3 WEEKS, wich meant I couldn't even start my SINGLEPLAYER ONLY game. (as a compensation, I did get a free 20 euro game... WICH I COULDN'T START IETHER BECAUSE OF THEIR DRM!) (2) The pick is not between UI mods and bots/hacks vs niether. Bots and hacks will exist even whitout the UI mods. (3) I'll just use blizzards argument as to why I think it's a dumb idea. "If I have more money than time I can purchase items, or if I’m leet in the game I can get benefits out of it." Added with this next quote: "Blizzard will take a small cut, but they’re not expecting to make too much of a profit out of it themselves.". And level caps on items... what was wrong with D2s version of getting strength for better items?

Noone knows yet how the new skill system will play out and how it will influence the game. There are justified concerns, we'll see if Blizzard plans to adress them if neccessary or if the game will be awesome anyways. Gameplay-wise, both of the last two games - SC2 and WoW(+addons) - have cemented Blizzard's position on the respective genre's thrones, and I don't think they'll fail with their latest title. As for the RMT auction house: Why not? That's not the end of the world, people don't need to use it that way, and folks with money to spend on games will do so anyways. Better Blizzard controls the market than people dealing with fg on 3rd party sites. However, I'll get Torchlight 2 as well. Just because of how awesome Mythos was, how good Torchlight became, and how much untapped potential the developers there still have.

Its pretty much been stated that Blizzard will not balance the game around PvP, thus items will have as much meaning as imbalanced classes.

It's not just this little thing, I've been following the news every since they announced D3 i just think it won't have that Diablo feeling that i had playing D1 & D2 for hours even day's. I just don't agree the way Blizzard are approaching this game.

Unfortunately they seem to have driven Diablo III into the ground even before release. Blizzard's lost my sale, though I'm sure there won't be enough people giving up on buying the game even though Blizzard is falling into the abyss of hell, aka Activision.

Blizzard now supports there very thing that disgusts the vast majority of players, namely gold sellers, power levelers, character sellers alike. Meaning there is no more "honor" i Diablo 3 (perhaps only in hardcore mode) because "lulz n00b, everyone can buy the gear you have". If you haven't noticed itemization is a huuuuuuuuuge thing in D3 and Blizzard ruining it means they pretty much ruin the effort put into the game for many of us. I for one will definetely not buy the game either. This step was too big and in the wrong direction. The same reason I stopped playing Activision FPS games, because they too are going in an awful direction where soon more money = better gamer rather than hours spent/practiced.
