p0ni and fire_bot can't make it so they will be replaced. Would be great if ash could go. All in all it looks like the greatest player lineup in Dreamhack history.
DreamArena Campgrounds looks freaking sweet. Wish I could go

Good idea. Unfortunately I don't have a PC righ now so no Quake for me

Is there perhaps anyone who would like to play about right now, or later today? I'm a newbie at around 1000 elo and probably 10-20% win rate, so I'm not very good at all. I can play anyone, even though I'd prefer playing someone on my own level. I'm trying to learn to keep track of timings, and it's really hard to do that if you're under pressure from better opponents.
EDIT: My name on QL is vonKlaust, btw.

dont worry so much about exact timings , more about remeber what item comes next and positioning accordingly(whether to deal damage from afar, try and attack the item and steal it, or just hide and get the timing for next time). Until your mechanics are solid(movement is essential) exact timings are irellevant because your opponent can just smash you regardless of stack difference

cant wait for this DH, havent seen a quake event in a couple of years, but this player list(With a cypher who has been active) is FUCKING EPIC.
Go Cypher and Dahang(seriously feel like this guy deserves at least 1 big tourney win in QL, hes so fucking good!)
|
I've been used to thinking of dahang as kind of like dkt: that player you wish would do well but never does. He's been doing better and better over time though...

in case you havent heard it... google chrome plans to drop plugin support. so QL devs want to make the game a standalone.
a.k.a. RIP QL

a.k.a. RIP QL Chrome blows anyways, Firefox ftw. QL will never die! At least I hope not, I personally thought after CSGO being so bad many would try it out since it was (besides 1.6) the only real alternative for fps. I haven't played in forever, wonder if those new arenas are any good that came out a little while back.

FACEIT Road 2 DreamHack Winter is on!

i thought that was what everybody wanted

Can't tell whether going standalone will be good or bad thing yet but looks like QL is going to lose mac and linux support.
|
sucks about losing support for other OS, but going standalone is not a bad thing i think. It's probably won't happen but QL would probably benefit from being available on Steam.
|
Some players dropped out of dreamhack winter, Strenx among them. My favorite aim-whore (now: with improved tactical play!) isn't going to play. :[[
And the loss of support for two operating systems just suuuucks. Apparently the platform qlprism is on isn't so secure anymore, so pushing qlprism as their main client wouldn't make sense either.

I really wish this wasn't on thanksgiving

My idea is that all of that improves just by playing. Timing is somthing you have to make an effort to learn, while you can simultaneously improve other aspects of the game just by playing. My timing actually improved pretty quickly after I started practicing it.

Jerdong
add me up
I'm not that good though, so maybe don't add me
|
This is what my list looks like so far:
Euroland vonKlaust II = vonKlaust (semi-active?, premium) Venser = Venser(?) (out of commision) AMERICA PineapplePizza = PineapplePizza (active, standard) Jer99 = Jerdong (dunno)
I guess TL isn't into deathmatch FPS :/ I know there are more people to add, but still, this looks kind of bleak...
