thats not cel shading x.x
its a great aesthetic they have going, where a lot of the environment is realism inspired and when you're in the clouds (there's parts where you are, i suppose this might be a feature) then the environments have a water color look
but definitely not pure cel shading, more of a mix
Eh I have mixed feelings about this one. On the one hand, the Wii is pretty old now, and I can't help but think waiting another year or two for the next gen console would result in a better game. On the other, I've yet to be disappointed by a Zelda game, even though I was wary of Wind Waker's cel shading to begin with. We'll have to see how the motion control pans out.

i seriously doubt we'll see a new console in 2 years. no way
I was wondering if any of you have heard about the difficulty of this games, especially of its puzzles. I was pretty much deceived by the two games on the Nintendo DS because they were far easier then Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess. I felt like the game basically told me exactly what to do. I think Nintendo said they did this to reach a larger public, so I'm afraid the difficulty of this one might be as easy as Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. But I thought that maybe, since they were making it for a console, they may go back to something more like Twilight Princess.
i stopped playing the zelda games after ocarina of time. For me the Wii is mostly a gimmick and not capable of accurate movement tracking. While playing the Sword games in Wii Sports Resort i noticed even the Wii motion plus controllers were decalibrating very often and couldnt keep up with slicing, so i cannot see this working properly in the new Zelda. Even is the game is flawless the hardware just wont be up to it.
When the trailer music for Skyward Sword is played backwards you hear Zelda's Lullaby from Ocarina of Time!
I <3 stuff like this so much =)
Huge Zelda fan?
the trailer looks promising, the art style is starting to grow on me a bit. Still not sure about it though especially considering the Twilight Princess style was awesome as well.
I don't know where or when it was officially announced, but I just checked the wikipedia page and figured out it was to be release on november 20th, 2011 in North America and November 18 in Europe. Now I am soooo hyped.
I'm definately getting the bundle with the golden wii remote. the game + music cd + controller for US$70.00 is a deal. Note the regular controller plus wii motion plus would normally cost over US$40.00.

I'm currently Playing through LOZ: Master Quest and this amused me greatly to see (even though you posted it a while ago) I love that the games started entirely disconnected and they have since built a timeline around the games...i just want the timeline explicitly explained by nintendo....
