The sc2 exhibition gathered about ~9400 viewers. The League of Legends final: Peaked at about 15000 viewers.

Although tonight I've had 900-1000 ping on every game I've played for no apparent reason, ISP must be weirded out because I haven't had any lag on streams or youtube clips...

I can't tell if you're trying to display this in favor of LoL or SC2... an exhibition match(one with absolutely no hype, rightfully so), still almost maintained 10k viewers. The audiences that sc2 draws is just insane.

It would just suck if one of them did something drastic, like one of my halo team mates ate nothing but ramen for 3 months to go to an mlg event with us... and then get nothing but 2 games out of it... both with lag spikes edit: not saying epic would have won without lag, just saying i would have been furious in their position

Incontrol is a pretty cool guy and eh kills machines and doesnt afraid of anything. And he was on WCG ultimate gamer season 1, so relatively speaking for WCG thats a decently hyped matchup. I understand its not like TLO or IdrA but I honestly didn't expect LoL to get more viewers (50% more almost) than anything starcraft related.

The stream was posted to the LoL main website which also means it shows up in the LoL launcher as the first news item. It's also the first major event so it gets a lot of hype from that. It's also the final part of a tournament so there has been build up to it since the qualifiers started. That is a lot of advertising compared to an SC2 showmatch with nothing on the line. Honestly I doubt many people knew it was taking place, I only found out about it because I was watching the stream since I knew wheat was doing wcg this weekend.

How is that suprising at all? This is the only broadcast that allows you to see 'pro' LOL while there are 100s of dollars at stake every day in SC2.

He's not a pretty cool guy to the rest of the world not on teamliquid.net who doesn't know him. And his only claim to fame to your average joe is WCG ultimate gamer if they haven't forgotten.
