Uh... if anything he's more athletic, faster, a better passer and probably makes better decisions at this point in his career. Not only that but he actually plays defense and by all accounts, he has a good head on his shoulders. Of course Rose is better right now, but I see Wall as a faster version of Rose who isn't aloof and takes on the leadership role. That's actually been the most impressive thing this season (although his passing is a close second); he appears to be a real leader as a freshman.

Derrick Rose is the fastest person on a basketball court ive seen save young Iverson and Lebron when he goes to the basket. Derrick Rose will out jump wall easily though. The head on the shoulder thing I dont know about either. Who gets busted taking a chick to an abandoned house ![]()

Derrick Rose is the fastest person on a basketball court ive seen save young Iverson and Lebron when he goes to the basket. Derrick Rose will out jump wall easily though. From an opinion piece in Sporting News: Two years ago, I wrote that Derrick Rose was the greatest athlete to play the position: the most imposing combination of size, strength, speed, quickness and leaping ability. So it may appear as though I'll write that about every jock-y point guard that comes along. Not so. To rewrite that declaration so soon required an almost miraculous advancement of those essential qualities. And Wall is blessed with all of it. He is not as strong as Rose, but he is longer, a shade taller, perhaps even faster end-to-end and even better at elevating and controlling his body once in the air. The head on the shoulder thing I dont know about either. Who gets busted taking a chick to an abandoned house "Breaking and entering" by looking in an abandoned house doesn't mean bad judgment to me. I've done it before. Read up on Wall as a person.![]()

More importantly, Wall already has that in control quality that you don't see in players of his age. As in, my team is down or heading towards a collapse, this is what I need to do to prevent that whether to shoot, change up the pace, pass, etc. You don't see that very often with young guards. And I don't know about Rose outjumping Wall, Wall's taller and has shown he can get up there. Rose is fast, but Wall just glides past people, like the only time I have seen any player chase him down was Kemba Walker on UConn during an end to end fast break. And it was because of Wall slowing down at the end because he didn't even consider the possibility of someone being that close to him on a break. And other opponents have commented on Wall's character, namely how he complements them during the game on good moves and such. Plus no tattoos and the sorts, haven't heard of anything bad on him at UK which if you don't know what kind of place this is, basically, we know everything about everyone on the team. It's like being the celebrity president of the world here, because everyone digs up everything about you.

I don't want to be mean because I actually like the guy, but Mark Jackson is not an intelligent person. He's a dumb jock, and nothing he says has any value, ever.
