I have the feeling they tell Van Gundy to cater to the audience. Some games he'll be very specific and point out things that we wouldn't catch. Like the horry flop + Show Spoiler +
Some games, he just won't say anything specific. He knows what's going on, but for some hidden reason he won't talk about it.
Commentator #1: The 76ers are nothing without Allen Iverson. Commentator #2: Well what are the Lakers without Kobe & Shaq? Bill Walton: The Clippers
You look at Vladimir Radmanovic, this guy is cut from stone. As if Michelangelo was reading and a lightening bolt flashed before him.”
Olowokandi grabs a rare rebound, Bill replies: “Showing why he was the number 1 pick!”
Bill: Michael Olowokandi changing the face of western civilization as we know it. Ralph: I don’t know about all that now, bill, but he is having a good game! Going on as if he didn’t hear a word Ralph said… Bill: “Absolutely dominant.” Bill: “He’s unguardable out there”
“And with the help of the Cavs AMAZING backcourt, they have cut the lead from 27….all the way down to 24.”
Raptors winnnnn!!!!!!! Honestly though it didn't look like Turk got fouled haha. Too bad NBA isn't giving us credit and instead focuses on the Lakers throughout the whole thing pretty much.
lol my god.. did anyone watch the heats vs cavs game today? the last minute or so was epic ;D GO CAVS!! but at the same time, i feel ridiculously bad for wade. no matter how well he plays, they lose more than they win -_-
utah vs phx was amazing. utah was down by as many as 16pts in the 3rd thanks to phx being on fire from long distance (17-30 for the game) but somehow still end up winning.
i guess that's phx for you, no defense down the stretch.
i don't think they're surprisingly good, there are too many other teams (Memphis, OKC, Bobcats, even NY and Chicago to an extent) that seem to have defied many/all expectations to really consider Utah (who has been thought of as a West contender for the past several years) surprisingly good.
Although I agree, Boozer has been really really strong for them, he's playing really inspired.
