bishamonten is nice, but I kind of wish there was a pure-instrumental with erhu (I'm assuming that's what it is) doing melody instead of just adding color tokyo neets do decent work but for some reason they always feel kind of... uninspiring to me don't prefer the style of techno the last one is in, so whatev | ||

Hell's Ushi-Oni - Tokyo Active NEETs An arrange of Interdimensional Voyage of a Ghostly Passenger Ship (or, for short, UFO's Stage 4 theme). The slap bass solo and the drum fills that follow it are amazing. + Show Spoiler + May, 4th Night - Tokyo Active NEETs An arrange of Doll Judgment ~ The Girl who Played with People's Shapes. This is an exception to my earlier remark about energy, as this song is very laid back. Nevertheless, it's a very pleasant listen. + Show Spoiler + Related to the Casket of Star arrange Reaper9 posted, here's another song from that album, Legend of Marisa. Probably one of my favorites on the album. Definitely sounds like it'd belong in an RPG. Dungeon #2 ~ Scarlet Devil Mansion Basement - Tokyo Active NEETs An arrange of Septette for a Dead Princess and U.N. Owen was Her?, with a touch of Magus Night. Whimsical and refined. + Show Spoiler + On the electronic side of things, some of my favorite circles recently would include ShibayanRecords and IZMIZM. Shibayan's arranges tend to be highly derivative, which can make it hard to identify what song they're an arrange of. Even then, they stand well on their own. Dancing Night Sparrow ~ Invitation to evening - ShibayanRecords An arrange of Deaf to all but the Song. Distorted square waves are the best. + Show Spoiler + Great Explosion of Rabbits - ShibayanRecords An arrange of Lunatic Eyes ~ Invisible Full Moon. If I had to start making up artist comparisons, I'd say that this track gives me Justice vibes. Must be the slap bass. + Show Spoiler + IZMIZM's recent works come from small albums that have been released over the past few conventions. Even though there are only a few tracks per album, they're quite good. Recommended to fans of DnB and electro house. Disclaimer: sometimes things go "wub wub wub." As an aside, I've recently started working in an 8-5 where I'm currently spending most of my hours alone in this corner of a warehouse either scanning/packing computers and monitors, or tagging/packing computers and monitors. Touhou music is so far keeping me sane. | ||
