Bit disapointing, Game 1 is ugh felt he had some chances to pounce but its hard to know if it would ever work. Game 2 looked so good and got my hopes up. Game 3 that map is just IMBA towards Zerg don't think anyway Zest could win after lings got in his base. Game 4 i mean how is protoss supposed to win vs half the map in spore crawlers, Zerg lategame is very strong.

He did alright in olimoleague again this week. 4-1'd ragnorok who had just beat Stats (who in turn just beat Rogue).

He won 4-1 against Ragnarok today. Didn't watch the games so nothing I can make out of it, but considering that Stats lost and Zest managed to win I would guess that he played fairly well?

Yeah he played really good. Nothing cheesy just mostly straight up good macro play. Ragnarok isn't the best zerg out there but his PvZ is looking to be a lot better than it was a few weeks ago at iem.

I caught RagnaroK vs Neeb at IEM, he was close to knocking him out. So he's not bad atm. Gonna watch the games though and give my verdict on them.

Zest's PvZ sucks but all and all Top 8 GSL is a good result for him consider how bad he was in 2017. At least he is getting back to his top form. Be positive.

The games were at an inconvenient time for me to watch but Zest just 3-0'ed Impact in Ballistix and is now playing in the Finals against GuMiho. From the tiny bit I could see in Game 3, he seems to be playing pretty well

edit: He also won 3-2 against GuMi

Zest lost to Impact again today at the BTSL qualifier... It was 2-1 in a Bo3 tho so I don't know what happened, could have been an all in again?

He played well actually. First game was reeeeaaally good, defense macro. Then Impact all inned him twice on Abiogenesis (lol) and Nydus all in on Backwater

No shame in loses to nydus allins tbh. I've yet to see an unscouted nydus cheese fail in ZvP (since 4.0)

I've seen people scout it and die, just as Zest did today. I've actually never seen anyone hold it. I don't see a theoretical way for you to hold it if you open SG. You'd have to see the lair start immediately with your first adept, and even then it could be something else entirely (lurker rush). The only thing you usually get to see though is the lack of quick third, which can be all sorts of things.

Anyway, patch goes live today right? I feel like everyone's gonna try archon drops again simply because they can actually hold a nydus, and the biggest threat to it (ling drops) is gone. Has other issues though, it sets you back by quite a bit in economy.
