Anyhoo It was a pleasure to see his play all these years, take care herO! Haha. I'm glad he has someone in his life. It looks like he is ready to move on and get this military service started. Best of luck to him.

AFAIK he had a gf for a while, so it's not like she suddenly appeared and took his focus away from the career.
He's been saying that it's hard for him to keep up with his level of play since like a year or two ago. He's trying what he can but I guess the pressure of time is taking its toll on him. I also think it's hard for him ever since he left the teamhouse but that may be just my impression.

It is hard to be consistent year after year. I'm sure herO did his best to stay on top this year. Also, there is nothing wrong with having a personal life. Eventually, every progamer moves on with his life. If herO decides to do so next year, it is all good.

Yes, relax, it was a joke. haha
Kuro, I think he is just don't care that much anymore. At least thats what I got from him in his streams. There is no way that his skill level just vanishes month by month. Since legacy it is harder to be a toss I think that is a big reason his play keeps getting worse. He was the best with blink for sure, but now stalkers are useless units.
I think it is disgusting what blizz did with Toss but that is an another subject.

It might have been a joke but you all seemed to be generally agreeing that he recently just chose to move on and spend time with his gf, so I wanted to clarify things before someone gets confused. I also don't think it's fair to say "he just doesn't care anymore" as we have no information about what has been going on in his life. Things are usually much more complicated than it seems.
|
No one says anything about "he doesn't care". We simply agree that he has a life outside of SC2. If he decides to move on and focus on something else (I'm not saying he will hence the if statement), we should all support him. Every progamer will retire at some point. herO is not the first and won't be the last. Life goes on with or without SC2 and I wish him well with whatever he has planned for the future regardless if it involves SC2 or not.

And yes someone's skill can just decrease month after month. It's extremely difficult to keep up consistency in a game like SC2. It's the hardest thing about any skill.
It's best not to make assumptions about someone's life unless you know first hand from them. Let's wait until he explains his situation.

Clearly, I didn't see that.
Well, I don't know herO first hand so I have no idea what it is going on with his life. The fact he didn't participate Super Tournament indicates he may decide to move on with his life. That's all.

Yeah he said he's thinking about going but for what reason we're not sure yet.
|
He did mention something on Discord (the invite to the server was posted here before btw and it should be on his Liquipedia as well), he didn't share details though. He said that he will talk about it on stream.

He is pushing the limit for the age of going army already so he may want to get it over with. Can't delay it forever and if they ask him to go then nothing much else he can do. I truly hope he delays it one more year and give it a last shot in 2019. He still can win a GSL and certainly capable to do so. However, if he decides to go to the army, best of luck to him.

I said it before and my opinion won't change. Yes I think he just doesn't care that much anymore. And there is nothing wrong with that! I am sorry if that's not a nice thing to say, but I have the right to come to this conclusion. And another thing is, he doesn't have to explain it to anyone.
So put that to the side it looks like he is going to the army at last. One question I have is can he come back to the scene after the military service?

Nothing stopping him if he still wants to play.
|
I mean MMA did for example. But it's hard to get back to the level for sure. But if not as a player, he could probably find some other esports place for himself, many players become casters or organizers.
