ByuL has swapped regions out of America back to korea and qualifed for Code A!! He 2-0d untouchable, sorry and then 2-1 vs innovation to make it out of his qualifier group in 1st place
History
ByuL (which means "Star" in English) was part of Samsung Khan, and appeared in a few TV matches in Shinhan Bank Pro League, and holds a solid 4-1 record.
He was a member of Fnatic from 19/3/12 until 13/11/12.
He quickly made a name for himself taking out established and known players in EG Master Cup Series Clanleague.
Therefore it was only a matter of time until this rookie was lifted to become one of the cornerstones in the Professional team.
His 5-2 record includes victorys over top players like HuK, SeleCT, Kas and Zenio, while his defeats came from Feast and ViBE.
In the 2012 Hot6iX GSTL Season 2, ByuL picked up 4 straight kills against his team to be, Incredible Miracle, taking out huge players Yonghwa, Seed, Happy and Nestea!!
ByuL also qualified for IPL season 5 taking out Terius and Tassadar, unfortunately ByuL didnt attend IPL5 and was given walkover losses in both the winners and losers bracket.
On the 8/12/12 teamliquid announced that ByuL would be joining his new team, Incredible Miracle. This was a huge pickup for Incredible Miracle and a great opportunity for ByuL to improve and that he did.
ByuL qualified for his first Code S in 2013 GSL season 1 through the up/down matches with a score of 4-1 taking out sOs, Byun, HerO and Genius, only losing to Bomber. Unfortunately ByuL wouldnt be able to continue his run much deeper as he fell out in the round of 32, still a notable improvement in play.
ByuL managed to qualify for 2013 KR season 1, but unfortunately fell to jangbi 1-2 in the first match of Challenger league, eliminating him from wcs season 1
ByuL's biggest performance occured in 2013 WCS season 3 where ByuL has switched regions to America. ByuL played through the qualifiers from season 2, taking out instance, MaSsan, Zenio and Golden, dropping 1 map to massan only! ByuL then went 6-0 through challenger league taking out MajOr, Tilea and Ryung.
ByuL stormed through the round of 32, taking out Arthur 2-0 and Hack 2-1
He then advanced to to the playoff stages taking out HuK and apocalypse after losing to Polt in a close series, all 2-1.
ByuL took out the chinese player MacSed 3-1, Motherfu***ng LEEJAEDONG IN BVZ 3-2 before advancing to play Polt again in the finals Things looked good for ByuL as he took the first map of the series, but unfortunately dropped 4 in a row walking away with 2nd place, a very good result and breakout performance for Incredible Miracles up and coming zerg star
Where to see ByuL next? ByuL is currently wrecking house in proleague as IM's Ace player , 5-2! .
ByuL > Remember ByuL > Creator ByuL > Dream ByuL > Rain ( ARE YOU SERIOUS?) ByuL < effOrt (nooooo) ByuL < Zest ByuL > rOrO ByuL < rogue awesome game vipers pulling and re-pulling broodlords, very back and forth! Current record in proleague is 8-6, i cant wait to see his improvements in round 3 as he has requalified for wcs korea code A
weird, that they would put Rain over him, but I guess some conflict interfered (right word?) with his schedule, or he develops new strategys right now, which arent for public, to snipe both MKP and Maru lol

Can't believe how good he is after such a short time playing the game, sign me up! Playing IM_Seed in the TSL4 qualifier now if he wins will go on to face TSL_HyuN

So, since OP got permabanned, what's going to happen to the fanclub? I'd like to see it being kept up to date, especially since ByuL's done a fantastic job in the GSTL so far.

I think the mods have the power to "give" the op to someone else
If you want and have the time, you could request it

I have the time, but not the experience. Maybe someone who's been here a lot longer and knows what they're doing can take it over.
Zerg play lately has been so predictable and meh but that last game against MMA with the muta and army counter multitasking and the baneling landmines were so sick. That game made me a fan.
Thanks! Gonna update with some WCS AM pictures when i get back from the library, in assignment week and kinda swamped, looking forward to the season finals
Manageable group for byul at the season finals tomorrow i feel! Duckdeuk and maru both seem to underperform when they havent got the prep time and byuls zvz looks sharp atm. Predicting soo to get out first then byul
Hey guys. sorry for not updating this regularly! got hit by a car about 10 days ago and my laptop did not survive the incident . ByuL played well at the season finals but couldnt take out trap whom he lost to 1-3. cant wait to see more of him in the future!
ByuL swapped back to korea and qualified for code A on his first attempt in a zvt fest, taking out 3 terrans only dropping a single map to innovation, cant wait to see what he does in code A and proleague this round!
fuck yeah Code S!! ByuL took down Dear and Journey 2-0, dropping a series 0-2 to solar who is a very good zerg himself, ByuL is looking phenomenal at the moment and his ZvZ can only get better practising with curious and life for proleague!! Congrats ByuL!!
ByuL is on a little tear in proleague at the moment, took out creator, keen , hurricane and maru in his last 4 games, showing really solid defence and great late game knowledge in both matchups!
Guys, I'm not sure but the last time this thread was edited was on 1st of April of 2014. Shouldn't a new thread be created and managed by someone else?

Usually the thread's ownership is transfered to someone active, instead of a new thread being created.

Okay then who can take it from here? I am active but I suck at editing threads so not sure if I can handle it...
"ByuL and I may not be friends but out of everyone in the world, I am the only person who knows exactly how he is feeling. It is such a difficult experience to go through when you finish second place three times in a row. But I'm sure his day will come one day as long as he is able to overcome this hardship. I hope ByuL continues to remain strong."

At this point it's fair to say that it doesn't seem like the OP is coming back. Is there anyone with an interest in managing the fan club that would like to take a stab at it?

I may be down. What does the manager do exactly?
Keep stalking Byul and updating the original post with any news related to him.

Sure I can do that.
Then it is settled? Transform the thread to Brutaxilos?
In the Olimoleague alone there were some signs of ByuL overcoming whatever mental blocks he had - he beat Classic again 2-0, as well as beating Inno in the finals. Hope that translates to offline events too!
Really sad to see ByuL is not doing so well lately. He was sick for a while during GSL Season 3 qualifier as well.
He has been always a strong and mechanical Zerg just like soO. I hope he will come back stronger next year. He has the skills so no reason to retire too soon!
Gogo ByuL!
P/S: Not sure why the former-CJ team is kind of falling off the rail after such a strong start at the beginning of 2017. ByuL was doing so well at IEM Gyeonggi and SSL. Bunny was on fire as so as herO at GSL. Then, in the second half, everything just went to smoke!

Ex-SKT and ex-KT seem to have kept together very well, even with each other, but the other ex-KeSPA teams have fragmented a lot.
Sad news, but not surprising. His disinterest has really shown in his games as of late.
ByuL's performance in 2015 was the most hyped I've been watching a player in years and it felt like we were seeing glimpses of that again earlier this year.
Leenock is retired as far as I know after he failed to qualify for Super Tournament 2. ByuL is kind of on the fence. He had such a strong start in the beginning of 2017 and gradually fell off.
ByuL is a great Zerg. He is known as mechanical Z just like soO. Have the same curse of finishing 2nd like soO too. However, his mentality is always his weakness. I hope he won't give up SC2 and toughens himself up a bit.

There was a reddit thread a couple days ago asking about ByuL and a person from the Korean community said he recently regained his passion for sc2 and plans to play in 2018.
I think I gave you wrong information. According to sc2unmasked, ByuL plays SC2 hard recently and participates WESG qualifier. I must have mistaken Patience's name for ByuL's name.
RagnaroK said "Ji-Hyun" (Patience's name) and I heard it "Ji-Won" (ByuL's name) Patience has played PUBG a lot recently. I'm sorry for misinformation. The guy who plans to switch to PUBG seems to be Patience, not ByuL. (It's not clear whether Patience really switches to PUBG or not.) so we can see ByuL playing SC2 next year
