Welcome to the official fan fclub of Bisu, The Revolutionist.
Often hailed as the greatest Protoss player ever to grace the Starcraft universe, Bisu has spent the better portion of the last decade inspiring awe with his inhuman multitasking abilities and strategic brilliance. From the moment he burst into stardom in 2007 by revolutionizing the PvZ matchup and winning back-to-back MSLs, Bisu has cemented himself among the legends. Now, in the face of a new game, there is no doubt that this will be merely another world for him to conquer.

Wow, so nice Kiett. Cool that someone like you is control over this too and not just some Protoss player in the sc2 section doing it out of hype and all.
Sign me up Kiett, I'm his second biggest fan behind you!! Watching him effortlessly defeat sAviOr when sAviOr was the shit... wow. Revolutionist fighting!!
Hope for Protoss since the dark ages of the Terran reign. Hope that the dominion of sAviOr and his ilk over Protoss would cease . Bisu is, after all, the Revolutionist. His is a bloodline not of the Khala and its brightest sons, Tassadar and Artanis (Stork and JangBi), but that of Zeratul and the legacy of the Void. His annihilation of the Maestro marked the beginning of the modern era, not just of PvZ but of Broodwar as a whole. He is the First Dragon.
Nevertheless, doubt lingers. The glory of his race has always been fleeting. Despite their vaunted psionic power, the Protoss are a dying race. They were not made to change themselves like the Zerg, to assimilate others for evolution. They were not made to reproduce and survive like the Terran, building ingenious craft for war.
But they were made to endure. And in the midst of darkness and despair, hope shines all the brighter.
Objectives
Ro4-Finals
As the only Golden Badge holder in this group, Bisu is a perennial contender in the MSL. However, the past few years have been unkind to Kim Taek Yong. He has stood in the shadows while his Terran and Zerg peers have taken title after title. Even after monstrous surges in Proleague, he has not tasted individual league success since his Batoo OSL run. The time is ripe. Bisu has revitalized the race, has begun conquering his demons, and is on the warpath. The people (Protoss) sing the song of angry men. It is time for another revolution.
Analysis
Bisu is the current hottest progamer right now (in more ways than one). Having won the Winner's League title for his team by defeating Jaedong and Flash successively, his momentum is as high as it ever will be. Moreover, this is his best chance to defeat Flash in an individual league. Historically, his PvT series play has shown vulnerability. Specifically he crashed and burned against Fantasy, Iris, and Mind. Since Flash is the best PvTer currently - as well as of all time - he has reason to be worried. On the other hand, a single match against him will not eliminate Bisu outright. Bisu can afford to lose to Flash the first game, and win against Sea and Jaedong. What he cannot afford is to lose to Flash and for Flash to lose the winner's game, forcing him to win against Flash to stay in the MSL.
The first map is Monte Cristo, a new and untested PvT map. Look for Bisu to play strategically hoping for a quick win. Some map features favor Carriers, and if Bisu is honest with his personal assessment of Carrier micro, then he can still take it to late game and win. If he gets the win, then odds are high that he defeats his next opponent and moves on as the first seed. If he doesn't, he still has a good chance of advancing as long as Flash wins his next game.
Not So-Historical Representative
Bisu is Alexander the Great. Having used Phalanxes (DTs) and cavalry (Corsairs) to conquer most of the known world (PvZ), he is one of the greatest generals of history. He revolutionized ancient warfare, and put together one of the largest empires in history. His Hellenic education also made him an honourable warrior (all Protoss are honourable warriors). However, he died at an early age due to hubris (probably too much of a pretty boy). Must be wary of elephants (Tanks).
From a BW perspective, I always saw Bisu as "the enemy" from a Flash fan's perspective. That being said, that had nothing to do with me having anything against Bisu, but rather just because I was so head over heels for Lee Young Ho. Besides, if you compare your SC2 heroes with your BW heroes, then you quickly come to the realisation that your fandom of the latter will triumph over your fandom for the former any day, regardless of whom you're talking about.
In other words, I'm willing to throw away any earlier prejudices of mine, and hop on the Bisu train this time around. Sign me up please
The dates on his team history are just days. I didn't follow back then, but unless he was on pirates of space and MBC game for only a couple of weeks, you might want to add in a year
This is the fanclub thread I've been waiting for. May he be an inspirational protoss for many years to come. I want to see him progress more than any other pro-gamer.
Absolutely beautiful OP Kiett, best I've seen for a fanclub.
lmao. I'm am laughing so hard at how high-quality this fanclub OP is. It is truly a work of art. Almost as pretty as Bisu himself. Too bad my IRL friends might disagree. But perhaps they are not real friends if they can't see the obvious.
And Bisu's multitasking makes me dizzy as fuck, especially when I watch an fpvod of him playing a PvZ.
You, sir, have crossed a line! Kim Taek Yong is the best Protoss of all time (sorry Stork)! Take back your foul words, demon, before the gods strike you down for your transgressions against their favored son!
Long time Fan of Bisu, was lucky enough to start in the scene just in time to see Bisu's first major win. I was never going to join any Fan-club at all, however your skill in the layout, and links is amazing Kiett, it has completely won me over. Be so kind to sign me up Kiett. PS: your commentary was fantastic in the latest team league do continue
I don't really know anything about him and never watched him play, so I won't ask to be signed up just yet. Just popped in to say that this might just be the BEST fanclub I've ever seen, good job sir.

In other news, our lovely WaxAngel has managed to score an interview with Bisu himself. If you have any questions you'd like him to ask, send them to Wax through twitter ^^

Add me please! Reasons why I'm a fan of Bisu: he revolutionized the way PvZ was played in BW, is one of the six dragons of protoss, hes an amazing player (especially in proleague), and his multitasking and control is sooooo good. Bisu is also switching to sc2 which may disappoint others, but I'm glad he is continuing to play the game! Bisu 화이팅!

Bisu's games are so exciting to watch, now in the dusk of Brood War I still can't quite get over the fact that he's never won an OSL... 3 time MSL champ, best player never to win an OSL for sure.
Your making this fan-club look better each time I view it Keitt. Great picture of Bisu! To bad Bisu did not play the other day, SKT was just all over it, hoping he gets some air time soon
Apologies if this was already posted. I didn't see it in the video's section of the first post. Is this the first sc2 game broadcasted of him?
No, it was his second game. His first one was against hero[join] in SKT vs. CJ. I updated the schedule section with recent results and VODs.
Although I'll warn you, neither game is particularly pleasant to watch ;_;
Agreed, absolutely horrible control in his 2nd game. Looked like a diamond player unsure of what to do vs a Medivac timing. It's only a matter of time though, let's be patient.
Awesome! Can't wait to watch this MLG. Sadly BW players SC2 games in PL is still far worse than GSL quality but I hope they can show us some interesting games.
If I understand the MLG broadcast schedule correctly, unless you pay for the premium streams Bisu vs Calm will be on one of those so if he loses I'll never get to see him play at MLG.
Hey guys, im getting a new credit card and im looking for bisu-pictures. So if you have some, any or a lot of them, please post them here. The higher the res the better!
Well, feel free to use any of the ones in the Gallery. I'll try to update the rest of the years tonight. Otherwise, check out any of the following MLG photo threads. Some of them have posted really really beautiful hi-res photos :3

As sad as it is that his awesomeness in bw will slowly fade away now; I will remain as a fan of this guy who brought me so much "wow-moments" in bw I can't even count them anymore. Sign me up pls!
It's a bit sad to see Bisu play Sc2 like this . He doesn't seem like himself (losing this shuttle without even noticing the threat for 5-10 seconds, bad positioning etc). It's most probably his lacking confidence which I hope he will regain very soon. Bisu hwaiting!!!
Sign me up! I'm rooting for bisu really hard these days, especially with troubles he's having transitioning to sc2. I watch him lose games and he has that look on his face, "plz can I just play bw" .
^That will change until Broodwar Pros fully change to SC2, for now, they play both games, which means they can't concentrate on one game. Hopefully Bisu will get topnotch asap

All the brood war pros are in the same situation
I don't get it, what do you wanna say with that ? And what has that to do with what I just wrote ?
Thought he played Terran for a while in Broodwar (or even random ?) but then switched to Protoss due to his Television match where he played Protoss. Lucky we :D

Dude, ever played with the Oracle? Haha, it's like the smallest apm sink ever. You literally shift click it around the map, control it when you are near a base so you don't lose it to turret/whatever like with a dropship/warp prism and then you just shift click the spell hotkey to block a whole mineral line > back to your base or where you now want it to recharge. It's sad how anyone can use it, really.
So unless they re-design it heavily after hots beta it won't change anything for someone like Bisu. :/

Acutally, yes Sir, i did. if you're controling 3-4 oracles at a time in different locations lategame, i don't think that you're just using shift click ... oO

He means everyone else in KeSPA is in the same situation. Even though he has to split his attention between two games, so does his competition so it by itself not a decent excuse for why he's much worse than his competition at SC2.
^ for those wondering what happened (and didn't see the after-game analysis live)
- base race - effort builds gas - effort loses his last hatchery so his buildings are revealed - effort's main army (broodlords) still in bisu's main killing buildings, his infestors burrow-move towards bisu's last mining base at 5 o'clock, LEAVING HIS GAS UNATTENDED - (not caught on camera bcuz they're zooming in on stupid burrow-moving infestors) bisu (who sees that extractor) retreats quickly to snipe that gas - game ends
+ additional information from post-game - the gases in bisu's main were done so effort couldn't build the extractor at a "safer place" - effort was 50 min short of building a new hatchery - bisu had a prism-drop going on in effort's main sometime before his mothership died, so effort's main was half-cleared even before the base race "began"
haha. funny to watch (this base trade scenario). I love to see him start winning. Of course, you can see that he has still a long way to go. I just pray that he finds his love for the game of SC2 or it will be a hard path.
Really looking forward to see how well Bisu will progress in SC2 after this season of the proleague! Especially after that base-trade scenario against EffOrt.
Scare is from bisu's trivia on his korean wikipedia page (first trivia note): 비수류 : 김택용의 대저그전 플레이 스타일을 지칭. 비수란 그의 아이디(Bisu)를 뜻하며, 주로 더블 넥서스 이후의 견제 및 운영에 중점을 둔다. 정찰, 견제와 생산을 동시에 처리해야 하기 때문에 매우 빠른 APM이 요구되는데, 김택용은 프로토스 선수들 중 가장 손이 빠른 선수 중 하나다
which gosu google translate talks 비수류 (bisuryu?) meaning "non-water" (수류 = water flow?) and saying he has a nickname of "water", and talking about how fast APM is needed for double nexus play. Also google translate sometimes does 김택용 as jaedong and as stork TT
So I'm really hoping this is google's bad translation and not reducing bisu (Dagger) to be some watery metaphor of "playing fluidly" or something. They can't reduce such a handsome man to that! Koreans don't refer to bisu ever as water, do they T_T?

the apm seemed kind of low to be bisu (when Larva was watching the replay it was under 300 for evian). Granted though, the only part I understood was how Larva kept saying "SK ~~~~~ SK ~~~~~~~~". It seems like he was saying evian is a skt account.

yeah apparently so. I think larva said it on stream but I didn't hear. but all the clues indicated that it was bisu
1) larva is ex-skt and knows how bisu plays and his hotkeys 2)larva immediately recognized the player when watching the replay of the 1st win just by his hotkeys and kept saying he was in such a good mood. he was so giddy about beating said player. "i can't believe i finally beat him; today's gotta be my day" 3)same exact hotkeys as bisu. bisu has unusual/unique hotkeys - hotkeying each type of unit separately (zealot, goon, temp, obs) and 0 for corsairs 4) /finger indicated that the player was using SK broadband (SKT's internet) 5) larva said that he thought he would've done better since the player (bisu) was playing sc2 lately 6) larva said he wanted to play more/learn from the player and that he was damn good. he wouldn't say this if it was one of his peers (other afreeca streamers) 7) people in the ladder chat started mentioning bisu alot "hey whats up bisu hyung" "holy shit its bisu" "omg bisu what are you doing here" etc. 8) when people were mentioning the relatively low apm for bisu (around 300) larva told the chat that the player normally has this kind of apm and that he's just really efficient with the apm. 9) we all witnessed the skill difference between the 2
If really looked like Bisu, corsair control, +1 speed zealots strikes, etc. God I miss BW PvZ...
Thanks for sharing!
This was not Bisu, this was a random korean, was not even B-Teamer. I'm disapointed, that you think bisu is that bad.
Well, its not like cow was on the line, it was just game for fun. There was a few mistakes that should be uncharacteristic for Bisu, but I assume that he wasn't playing seriously.

First of all he wasn't at SKT for years, second he was a B-teamer, i doubt he played very often against Bisu and SKT's internet there sit like 20 players at 1 house, this doesn't proves anything. Bisu was the best pvz player in the world and doesn't plays a better game vs larve than minus)eagle, who says about himself having a terrible pvz, i guess you never saw bisu playing.
Although I was never a brood war player (Halo player since the CE days) I've went back and watched brood war matches after getting into this past season of pro league (I've been following SC2 since it first made its MLG appearance at Raleigh 2010), where they obviously split SC2 and Brood War. Watching some of those old matches I can see why Bisu was so good, and he definitely made me a fan throughout those and this season of pro league.
He almost qualified for GSL, lost 1-2 in the finals.
Oh awesome. Thanks! Sucks that he didnt qualify for the GSL. But Im glad he was able to even get that far. I hope to see him win some championships in the near future! Mwuahaha!
Bit of an update in the MvP invitational for Bisu, he is near the top of the rankings right now with 10-2 in maps.
If he continues to do well he has a good chance at getting a spot in pool play for the MLG Fall Championship, he only has to win one series ( bo7 ) in the playoffs to be top 4 of the Proleague division and get a seed.

Sighhh, watching some of Bisu's old Finals VODs, so epic .. I think if it weren't for the SL troubles in the last year of BW (OSL and MSL would skip a season here and there, MSL getting cancelled), we would've seen another Bisu finals. So unfortunate ...

Seems he just doesn't like SC2. The #1 thing anyone needs to improve is motivation, and a player that is having doubts about his SC2 career certainly would lack it.
The Protoss he is used to playing is not possible in Starcraft 2, he is forced to play in a way that isn't him. I think he should of just changed to Terran

Edit: The Flash vs Bisu prepared builds were really something fun to watch. Each time they played each other during that period you could tell their builds were really well thought out. All the other guy could do is hope his micro was good enough. And it usually wasn't of course because, well, TBLS micro vs TBLS micro.

just did a 2v2 on hunters for fun with a fan vs mvp/fan, they got way ahead early on but were nice and backed off; they then lost later on in the game.

I hope bisu played like this on purpose because he didn't show anything special during this game and throwed a lot of unit for free.
I want to see you play in proleague (and in gsl) Bisu ;_;
I've asked to be added to this group a long time ago, but I still haven't been added... I guess I didn't list answers? 1. Made me fall in love with SC and especially the pro scene 2. Fricking crazy multitasking o.O 3. Beast PvZer 4. Peak >500 APM but still one of the cleanest screens 5. Combines micro and macro flawlessly
oh yeah, and my signature hasn't been edited for over 3 years or so... It was when Bisu had his slump around 2009-2010... Always keep the faith!
Bisu should switch to terran. He and others have mentioned in interviews that he's more suited to it, and he only stays protoss for his fans. It's that dedication to the fans which makes me love players like him, but he could revolutionise SC again if he switched. And if he just fades away without ever trying it that would be terrible.

And to add, I saw bisu had some some nice WP play vs a terran. He would drop a couple zealots at two bases then he would send his main army and attack his expo/main.
And a pvz, he had amazing stalker micro. He did not lose a single one to some lings (before speed).

Any idea where I can see vods of this man? Intrigued to see it for sure

Please add me as well, I am sorta sold as a Bisu fan when he showed good solid play with lots of potential towards vast improvement at the SPL special thingy Not to mention his handsomeness, a mancrush sooner or later is inevitable.
Grats to Bisu on his recent wins! Great to see that he is doing better in HotS.
Today is also April 8th. A year ago, Bisu did the unthinkable, defeating Flash in the SK Planet Proleague S1 Grand Finals ace match, winning the championship for SKT. Here's the VOD so you can all rewatch that glorious moment :D

A year on from winning that crucial game that helped SKT1 clinch the final BW Proleague title Bisu is fighting strong in HotS. Looks like his early practice is paying off, I hope he will go on a big streak!

Kiett, if you have the time I need a starcraft overlay for casting but completely Bisu-ed out. <3 Just something to spread the word of the Bisu a little bit more to society
Bisu is pretty awesome. Hope he gets his mojo back. HotS P seems more suitable for him than WoL P by far, so I think he should be able to get back on top soon.
wow i think that was the most exciting games i've ever watched... just amazing, the fact that probe stayed alive to build that nexus was amazing.... man bisu played that so smart!!!

Oh btw, does anyone have a count on who else got the big 200? AFAIK Bisu is the only one with 200 wins and less than 100 loses.
Flash, Stork and Jaedong are the only others :o
Bisu is the only one with double digit losses among TBLS. I think the only one of the top 10 most wins in PL... Might be wrong about the top 10 thing though.
In other news: I've been rewatching random VioleTAK commentaries from about 2008 and every Bisu OSL game is such a facepalm to watch (win or lose). Looking back we all had so much faith in him to take an OSL back then. LOL
I knew he would retire. Without fail, any players that have been found playing BW in their downtime ended up leaving SC2 professional play. Bisu is no exception there.
On September 09 2013 12:25 Kiett wrote: well I guess that's official. Bisu has retired from SC2. No news yet as to whether or not he will be returning to BW or participating in sospa.
Daaaaaaaaaaaamn this fanclub is SEXY. HTML so OP, why I don't have this for Jaedong club ;-; Also I've been catching some Bisu streaming BW lately... I never got into broodwar to be honest, but damn, he is actually pretty entertaining
On November 03 2013 15:12 eXNewB wrote: how many viewers do you think his afreeca stream gets?
he had about 300 the last time i watched him
That's Snipealot2... On afreeca he gets over 10,000 which is a lot consider that it's only Korea.
He made 10,000$ in 10 days of streaming. Have no idea how much he has made overall though. And even on snipealot if he streams for long enough he gets 1k viewers
Pretty pumped, hope he'll do well in the new BW PL! Gogo Bisu, super happy he's doing well streaming BW now, it was sad to hear how bad he was feeling playing SC2.

I added up the numbers on http://www.starlog.co.kr/ and Bisu made at least 17500$ thus far. He probably made slightly more because shorter sessions with less money are not recorded on the site.
Wow I found this fan club just by chance but seems there isnt much activity here Thats weird... I thought people were hype when he start streaming on snipe :/ Go BeeSuit !!
For those or you who freqent Bisu's stream, can you tell me what are the most played of his songs? Like when he gets a donation, I think that 3 Steps from Hell maybe, or when a Korean guy sings. Thanks.
