I do see a pattern here ![]() Question: What do you think is underused in current zerg play? Something that you like to do a lot, but others don't. Can be matchup specific. yes stephano is god among men ![]() hmmm ... super fast 3rd zvt against 1rax cc/cc first (most zerg just delay spine and do same 2base lair as usual) very fast 4th zvp (around 8-9min after ~70drone) rather than fast macro hatch on 3base taking really fast 3rd zvz against nogas hatch first openings pretty much i just expand faster/more and play more macro-ish than most zergs ( i feel its better idea to practice macro than mixing in all ins on ladder ~ it is much better practice ~ and all-ins are very easy to learn ) how do you feel protoss can deal with this kind of heavy macro play (assuming you go roaches along with it) without allining on 2 bases? like what is the best response you've seen against your macro style firstly i think it is required for protoss to hatch block your natural or go 15-17nex noscout or they are very very far behind from good 3hatch opening (if no block it is possible to get 85 supply; +1 range otw; lair otw; ling speed otw; 70+ drones (some just otw); 3gas; roach warren done; and 1 creep tumour going from nat and 3rd each; all by 8 minutes and being completely safe. but most zergs have bad opening and i see many get 60-65 supply with no evo/roach warren done and not having +1 otw at this same time ~im talking about GM zerg streamers i think stargate play is very strong (1 void ray + 5 phoenix) to pressure and delay 4th/kill 1 or 2 queen/kill few overlord but i think most 2base protoss all ins are very weak and should only work if zerg gets tricked into not thinking they coming (you will see what i mean when replays are out of ddoro vs me) fairly fast 3base with immortal/sentry heavy defense i think is best option right now on most maps ;; i am not too knowledgeable about zvp though so dont quote me ! i can see why hatch block is needed, i need to practice getting that off more consistently since 15-17 blind nexus will never work especially in a series if you start doing it again and again you're just asking to be 6pooled and lose stupidly i feel as though stargate play is flimsy since you have to kill so much to break even but i guess there is a reason that it's been so popular for so long (the damage along with the scouting and the ability to hold roach allins with insane ease) i agree that 2base protoss allins are weak and shouldn't work at the highest level which is why i have tried my hardest to never do them (it's shockingly tempting lol but playing allins on ladder just isn't good practice and i can learn those fairly quickly if need be) i have been experimenting with the fast 3base immortal/sentry defense for a while and just feel like it's a bit weak to quick muta switches (probably why drg goes for those quick muta switches in zvp) though those are manageable with quick blink you aren't in an ideal situation to deal with muta at that point in the game...it's a really great way to play zerg vs protoss ![]() also, sorry for quoting you :3 Hint for those quick muta switches: If a Zerg is taking gases 5 and 6 before 9:00-10:00, they're transitioning out of roach/ling shenanigans and most likely going for a muta switch. Obviously check for fast infestor, but you don't need quite as much gas for that. You'll also usually see a faster macro hatch from a zerg who's looking to go fast infestor, since they're gonna be making a lot of lings. my reaction to muta and infestor is actually really similar, since high templar are good vs both ![]()

Thanks for helping sort out the confusion for those who were confused. ![]() But this part, fortunately, isn't true anymore. In a WPATH meeting last year for making revisions of the standards of care for transgendered people: "We've made a clear statement that gender nonconformity is not pathological,". Source: http://www.thegavoice.com/index.php/news/national-news/3497-wpath-announces-new-standards-of-care-for-transgender-and-gender-nonconforming-people Unfortunately its still considered a disorder in DSM4 (much like how homosexuality used to be listed). There has been movement to change this, and in the text revision (to prepare for DSM5) they changed Gender Identity Disorder (GID) to Gender Incongruence (GI). The main difference being that someone is suffering from GI (and is diagnosed with it) before/during transition. Once they have established themselves in their desired sex, they are no longer Gender Incongruent. It's not guaranteed to make DSM5 though, and there is a bit of pushback and debate surrounding it. I don't want to hijack scarlett's fan page for trans education, so I'll just post this video for people interested in some of the science behind it, and congratulate Scarlett on her awesome performance.
