EDIT: This question is quite unclear, if you need me to rephrase, feel free to ask. i tried playing a few online tournaments and always played very poorly compared to how i normally play (also for improving it is much more time-efficient to play practice games or ladder compared to tournaments as they are very spread out) . i wanted to wait till getting better (so i could actually win online tournaments) before playing them otherwise it is pretty much waste of time On April 10 2012 08:38 Bibbit wrote: Scarlett, a bunch of pages back I speculated that you model your play a lot after Stephano. This might be a little too in-depth, but: I've noticed that you tend to favor early roach warren play in ZvT against reactor hellion, and often skip spinecrawlers because of it. Is there any specific motivation behind that, or is it just a personal preference? Since you don't seem to try to pressure with them, my assumption was that you go for the early roaches to protect your creep tumors, since you seem to put a lot of focus into creep spread. My guess was that your logic is to creep up the map as aggressively as possible to delay pushes, which gives you more time to react/prepare since you take a little bit of a greedier third base (as well as saturating it faster) than most Zergs. Is that accurate, or am I reading too far into things?

Is that accurate, or am I reading too far into things? i have been working on a zvt opening for a few weeks which so far i have had amazing success with on ladder which is super greedy but tries to be safe through creep spread delaying pushes enough to get more lings out i actually use nat queen to put 2 creep tumours before first inject as well as 3rd queen dedicated on creep spread until 3rd base finishes in order to get creep spread started very fast (as you see in replay vs xGkingiaguz you casted earlier) . roaches tie into this very well as they allow me to continue spreading creep with my very fast 3 tumour ; as well as making terran very worried about all ins forcing them to play defensive (and therefore i can usually play even greedier!) - such as replay vs dSeleCT you casted (i am not 100% sure this build is safe as i have not done it for too long and occasionally have trouble with 2cloak banshee off 1rax fe as in the game vs keydEverize you casted - but if i see them coming i can make 3spore and be fine. also the very fast stim/+1/hellion/medivac push seems difficult to hold, but it should be possible as long as i scout it in time, and prepare with extra roaches/and some lings)

(2base marauder/hellion/pull most of scvs i might die to though... hmm) i do not have ladder replays from ipl4 as they were played on the computers in the player area

I usually try to go for marauder/hellion pressure when I see roaches and the zerg doesn't attack me, so I was curious to see if you have trouble with it, in case people start copying your style... maybe I'll start pulling my SCVs >__> Another playstyle question: You seem to go hydras more often than other Zergs in ZvP, is there any specific reason for that? Is it part of your normal style, or is it just a coincidence that you went hydra in a lot of the small number of games that are available

Even if you did terrible at IPL4 being TOP GM with stats like a succesful fulltime pro on ladder is enough evidence that you are fucking good.... I think its amazing how an unknown player (not anymore obviously ^_^) is ranked in the top 10 of GM without being noticed. Most people probably thought your barcode account is a korean smurf or something lol and the fact that you had messaged blocked prevented teams from approaching you. I am sure now any good SC2 team in the worlds wants to have you on your team, you are a fan favorite, you came out of nowhere and your skill level after such a short time is actually ridiculous.. from what it sounds like you just copy what you have seen in streams of Stephano, Nerchio and other great zergs and you do it pretty much almost as good as them after a few hundred games. Although you seem like a great person I'm so much more impressed with your SC2 skill and how easy it seemed for you to reach that level. I myself play A LOT, I'm still just top 300-500 Master on Eu server.. I've played 800 laddergames this season and relative to the other players I didn't improve since last season. I am lazy in terms of studying replays and such but I play a lot and I seem to understand things quicker than the average sc2 joe, but I am still so far away from being even a ladderhero. Do you have any tips how to practice very efficiently and how to become good as fast as possible, because I really want to become good at SC2 and the whole story around you actually motivated me to practice harder and more. Really wish you best of luck and I feel like in just a few months your name will be named among great players like Stephano, HuK, Naniwa and SaSe. Keep fighting!
