Yesterday Anna Prosser (EG.InControL's girlfriend and Miss Oregon at that) was playing Starcraft and streaming life. It was ok, but don't bielieve InControL - it wasn't hilariuos. It wasn't awesome at all. It was just ok. I just hope that Lindsey won't blew the first stream like that. I hope she is secretly getting prepared and that she won't start with playing with AI's and asking all of those ridiculous questions. That would be boring and would effectively prevent the community from treating her seriously. What I hope for is a series of ladder matches, that would get her into bronze and a single victory to close the first day. But that'd need preparation on her side, and I don't think she has all that time between the shoots and travels. Also, while I admire the positive attitude, she absolutely needs to stop saying "Awesome! I am so interested! That sounds awesome!" no matter what was said. Hope she can do that while learning to play and streaming... I mean - she did a bachelor in Business, and there's a math exam there with some really abstract paradigms to get a grip on. If she passed that then she can think abstract enough to comprehend Starcraft on a decent level, and won't need to pretend that she's interested. "Excellent!" is a catchphrase. People love it. Now she does interviews and tried like hell to avoid that word, but does the same mistake with "Awesome!" and "Interesting!" instead. Unnecessary - if she'd stick to 'Excellent!' the people (and I do mean the SC2 people, one of the biggest and greatest nations!) would love it more then I love baneling plushies. | ||

Jeez, can't wait til she plays and crushes the hopes of all the fans into dust :D:D EDIT: Honestly, the world is a beautiful place, but unfrtunately there are people in it. That's why wonderful things tend not to happed quite that often. Lindsey would be a precedetial persona, if the stars would align right, but something tells that either she is not who we see (cause we only see what we want to see) or, the more probable version, she is who we see but instead we're not who she thinks we are. She can actually start playing and suddenly come to a realisation, that this world we live in is not as amazing as she thought. I mean guys, she's got impressions about SC2 from NASL, the most great and awesome sc2 related event ever. I don't know if SC2 reality can live up to that. Holy moly, but what if it did! What if it did! | ||

This is everything that is wrong with this world. She has achieved nothing in sc:bw / sc2. Her commentaries / interviews are bad and shes poorly informed of the game / scene. The only reason she has a fanclub is because she is a girl and above average pretty. | ||

You know, the guy who spends most of his life trying to sell the game to the world. The woman appeared on a stream with some 40k people on it and did interviews in a way that at first made the community go WTF. She went home, did her research, and came back and vastly improved the second day. Communities like triers. When people post stuff like this, it makes them look more antisocial than the white knights they accuse other people of being. Like interview on a camera for 40k people and show yourself honest and likeable. You assume these things spontaneously appear like quantum foam fluctuations. The woman got a fan club because she had a torrid first day, resisted a bombardment of abuse by the entire community, and came back having spent the evening trying to learn a completely new subject, solely to appease them. The fact she is an attractive woman didn't stop the barrage of abuse on the first day. Silly stuff. | ||

If you are you'll probably get a ban soon for not reading the white mod notes up top. You saying she had does bad interviews is your opinion, and not the opinion of this fanclub. Yes she was horrible the first day but went home, braved the criticism and insults of the community and studied up on the subject, there's something admirable in that. Also, not like she asked for a fanclub =\ ...Btw why ARE you here reading this thread? | ||
