Saying that "DRG and Nestea are just better" is a bit of a stretch as well. He's a really great zerg, so is DRG and Nestea. To put one on top of the eachother (in a list of how good they are right now, not their lifetime achievements) is pretty damn hard though.

For some reason DRGs play never impressed me as much as Stephano did. I think Stephano is the best zerg in the world right now, atleast top 3.

Stating who the best playing is in the world is just not possible, imo. Each of the players in the top 5-10 has what it takes to be 1st. They are too close to really put one before the others.

Stephano is my favorite player, but he has never beaten MC in tournaments or on ladder (MC is 7-0 vs him). Also, even though Stephano beat HerO in one game at Blizzcup last year, a week later they played 5 practice games on different maps and HerO won every single game with the sickest protoss multitasking I've ever seen.
I don't believe Stephano has ever beaten IMMvp either, but I don't think they've played much.
That being said there are very few players he has much trouble with.

He's not the best but being able to win as much as he won while playing only on euro ladder with an average time of 4-5 hours a day ( just 6 games today for example ) is damn impressive. Just wait IPL4 and some korean opponents !

Seriously, i'm a huge stephano fan, but there are things such as common sense and objectivity you should look into.

Who cares about everyone's personal "power rankings" - Stephano is a beast and has made me inspired to get better at ZvP....They say he can't compete with the "best" foreigners but he seems to find ways to win tourneys not in korea with decent to excellent Korean competition. As for him not joining the GSL...I don't blame him for not wanting to go into a foreign country where you have to get a translator or learn a new language to compete against psychos who study your tendencies all week and such....the money isn't that much better when you can just win or place well in all the foreigner tourneys!
The kid's a natural and he would excel in Korea given the motivation, but I doubt I would either when you can ball out globally

Stephano is one of those people you call talented... He trains around 3 hours a day and manages to beat top korean players.
This man can become the greatest Sc2 player if he puts his mind to it. However, I don't see that happening as he will be leaving sc2 to study.

Frankly, I dont give a f**k about the fact that he is, like me, french, and I dont really like the guy, but as a player, he clearly is "the one", that one non-korean kid, that clearly has the potential to stomp some koreans, and he already does while training in EU and not even devoting that much time to it. So yeah, saying that he's the best zerg doesnt make sense (yet, let him go to Korea I think many would be surprised, question is does he want to go), but I can understand the guys that over hype Stephano, because his level of play is clearly Code S, and he never trained with koreans, it is impressive and he might be the next best zerg on the planet if he trains hard and evolves.

I do also see he has a huge potential, he is really really good. But people seriously need to stop over hyping, there is a huge difference between potentially the best and actually being the best.
I guess for people who wants to see foreigners winning against koreans, then yea, stephano is probably one of the few who can do it consistently in foreign tournaments.

Why exactly do people need to stop hyping? What is so bad about calling your favorite player best player in the world?
People do it all the time, in every sport I know.
And as an example in sc2, many were calling DRG best zerg in the world after he had won a few games in the GOM team league. He had not won a single tournament, was not even in code A, yet he was hyped like crazy. And strangely noone was butthurt about it like now with Stephano.

People called DRG best (Z) in the world in May-July of 2011 when Nestea won two GSLs? Or afterwards when Mvp dominated EVERYTHING until MMA came about? You can be a fan without saying anything absurd.
