Anyone can enter first year of medecine (even with like awfull results in high school), it's getting in 2nd year that is really hard. On March 31 2012 07:53 roym899 wrote: I don't really get it. Why does going to the college mean the same thing as stop playing SC2? There are many players study besides training. So I wonder if he ever said that he would stop playing then? Of course he would most likely not go to korea or so then, but I don't think he's a full-time programer at the moment like the koreans. If he wants to do medecine, I can garantee you that he will NOT have the time to do anything else during the first year, the examination is ridicoulously hard and is just there to limit the number of doctor, you have to learn a lot of stuff.

Yeah no. Not really possible to make the two work. Look at qxc. The guy had potential to be one of the best foreigner, all killed IM back in the days, but his studies always put him in a more passive position to the scene.

QXC is well known as being someone who really studies and puts a lot of time and thought into the game. Stephano has said on multiple times he doesn't put much practice time in every day. The two cases are completely different. I'm sure Stephano could still compete at the top level (at least amongst foreigners) even if he went to college and only played a couple hours a day.

As kubiks said, if he goes in medicine he won't be able to play at all I think. There is just too much work required for it.

And in those two games you'll probably fall asleep in at least one because you'll be shattered. ![]()

But for example HasuObs is studying Business Informatics and he still competes quite successful altough he's not at a top level, he's financing his study with the money he's earning. But when Stephano said, he really wants to focus on one thing then this is probably beyond all questions. In the french system, first year of medical school is one of the 2 / 3 hardest possible years a student can do. There is absolutely no way he'll be able to play SC2 at a more or less competitive level at the same time. Sorry folks ![]()

The first year is really really [...] really really hard. You have to learn a shit ton of things ( and details, that wont be useful to you ). The hardcore learner will know every little small details the teacher said when half the class was leaving the room because of the ringing bell. Since only a very small number of students can make it, you can't afford to compete in anything else.
