Guys.
It's official now.
Stephano is the best foreign player.
Nestea just said so (on episode 64 of state of the game).

I am a huge HuK fan (but I cheer for Nani and Stephano too), and I have to say that anyone who was deluded enough to say anything OTHER than Stephano being the best foreign player is a fool. I certainly didn't need Nestea to tell me...

Seriously. If you ever see his stream you can tell within minutes how much better he is than most players. <3

Some person messaged him during game saying Huk's the best #1 foreigner. In my opinion I agree that Stephano is one of the top foreigners, though I wouldn't say the best.

Nestea ain't somebody, you know...-_-
And i'm qwatching his stream and he ain't even GM, which Stephano was within three days in Korea.

Stephano is a boss! Too bad he couldn't beat Polt though in the ASUS ROG tournament.
Here's hoping he takes some more gold trophies at Texas Lone Star Clash.

He was pretty good in all those games, the 1-4 score isn't a great indicator of how close the sets were, especially the last one. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

HuK was outside Korea during the qualification for GM this season, which means it's hard to get in until someone drops out? (Takes 2 weeks or something..)
Anyway, last season he was the top foreigner in GM Korea, but still I think Stephano's last 6-9months of results outshine HuK and Nani

Look at dat list for 2012: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Minor_Tournaments
9 "minor" tournaments, 4 wins for Steph.
And:
- Could have won ONOG if he hadn't forfeited (was in final against Kas) - Could have won Raidcall if he hadn't fooled around against TitaN
I definitely agree with NesTea, I'd like him to work on his ZvT and ZvZ a bit more though ZvP is fine (one of the best - if not the best - in the world imo) :p

- Could have won Raidcall if he hadn't fooled around against TitaN
That's a pretty dumb statement. He lost, that's the only thing relevant there. I could have been the world leader if i hadn't fooled around in my youth.

Guys, do we know who will replace Whitera ( he's replacing ret @IEM WC ) this week-end for the showmatch ?
|
I believe WhiteRa will leave IEM early to get to the Showmatch. Or something like that. I'm pretty sure he will attend the showmatch.

Just wanted to emphasize that 10 pool into 2 base mutas is not his usual build order vs P (and that with his usual build order he'd had almost 100% winrate ratio against any protoss since the begining of 2012).
Of course if sentences are dumb, but you understand my point. If he had played his standard style and lost I wouldn't have said anything.

"The poll is officially closed now, and the rankings for the top 5 are:
1. WhiteRa ua 2. Stephano fr 3. IdrA us 4. HuK ca 5. MarineKingPrime kr
We will now formally invite both WhiteRa and Stephano to come play in this $5,000 showmatch, and if either of them must decline then we will go down the list until we have two competitors that are willing and able to compete in Austin, TX on the weekend of March 9th-12th! Congratulations to our winners!"
