Such simple clean aggression from Polt, plus the macro behind it. In game 1 Stephano scouted the hellion maurader 2 base attack, and put up tons of spines, but Polts attacks are so efficient he just muscled that second base down.
Watching from Stephano's view I thought he was ahead in game 1 after he stabilized and got to Ultra..... but the units from Polt just don't stop coming. The ability to snipe hatcheries hurts bad.... Polts so good at that.
Ling/infestor/Ultra takes huge APM to cover the map, and while Stephano can muster it against almost everyone, against Polt the harrass is effective and Polt manages to macro like a master as well.
I think Stephano's style (ling/infestor/ultra) is much harder to play than Polts counter to it, and against someone as fast and crisp as Polt, I'm not sure Stephano can overcome that.
<3 Stephano.... but please make Muta :D Even if its not your primary ZvT strategy, having that "shot in your bag" will only help. Drops need to be stopped from downing hatches and medivacs need to die!
Edit* Ah.... he went double spire Muta his first TvZ on ladder after Polt :D He's so damn smart and rational... poor Strelok didn't have a single turret because Stephano would never build Muta.

wow really good game against strelok just now very impressive

Actually he is really good with mutas, he used to roflstom all the european terrans with muta/ling/bling. Cloud still has nightmares.

Yep, with borrowed baneling during fight, it was cute

Oh i remember that trick. Tried to imitate it for two months before realizing i wouldn't make it work whatsoever ^^

Versus a player like Polt, i think some mutas could definitely help him.

"this was fun." GG
O___________O

i think he was relying on titan repeating build in game 1 , which he did to some extent, but he did a very nice wall in with forge while game 1 his entrance was open for a long time.

Flash loses.
Then Stephano loses :D
|
And the streak ends...it feels like he was way too overconfident and didn't want to go late game, which is what he usually does against protoss when he sees a third well defended. And of course, glings and roaches are bad against colossi

I <3 Stephano for his taste in music. Nevertheless I root for Russians/Ukranians as the are culturally closest to me, but my heart was broken after today's lose vs Titan. Looking forward to IPL4 though, hope Stephano will do well. Oh and btw, make sure that you buy those $5 PPV tickets. There will be a free stream, though we are to show IGN's management how much we love sc2. As there are some rumours that IPL4 is the last chance from IGN management for the whole sc2 programme. I hope that those aren't true, though the Team Reign story makes me wonder. Anywaym prog on, Stephano zerg!
