Stephano and HuK are the best foreigners. Stephano has proven himself many times against koreans (which is the only thing that counts, hello Idra) and HuK is still S or at least A class in my opinion.

Naniwa has not shown enough versus koreans. But he is getting there.

This. The rest of you need to get that crap out of this thread. Thanks.

After him getting the 1-0 lead i totally thought he would go 4-0 since he normally just doesn't lose when he gets into beastmode, but Polt played so incredibelly good. Stephano took a lead in pretty much every game and you always(except in the last game, there he seemed kinda broken) could see that he kinda felt like he already had the game. Problem was that Polt is way better than any foreign terran so he always could come back and that really surprised stephano over and over again and affected his decision making.

But that he is by far the best foreigner is absolutely known by everybody with a brain. I can't believe people still want to argue about that.
If you look at TLPD you see that he has way better stats than everybody else, if you look at any other sc2 elo system in the internet you still see that he has way better stats than everybody else, if you look at his money earnings, he got way more than everybody else, if you look at etc. etc. he is just ahead by far in every aspect!
There is just no measurement at all that would allow anybody to say that any other foreigner comes even close to Stephano. And I do mean that: It is not even close. This estimation is purely based on facts.

sorry he's good but huk and naniwa are on a different level

on which results do you base this statement? cause they win less, have lower elo rank in every single ranking system and play much slower(i mean seriously, have you watched their streams?) ?

And: In my optinion comparing players and figuring out who the best is is on of the most important things in esports;) But in this case you guys are right to say we should stop arguing cause there is basically nothing to argue about...

Exactly, player comparisons are one of the things that any competitive endeavor interesting. There are more stats available in Starcraft than in the NBA or MMA, e.g., because the players play so many more games against one another. Stephano, based on objective measures (e.g., Elo and cash winnings, number of tournaments won, ladder performance in Korea), is significantly better than all of the other foreigners. IMO, subjectively he's better too but that's a matter for another discussion.

To those who don't like debating these questions, that's fine. Simply stay out of the debate.

Starcraft makes it easier ti compare player than NBA because it's an individual game, too ^^

+1

All this comparing players is pointless! And annoying. Even stephano said that it's dumb to compare idra and stephano. Are they all top foreigners? Yes. That's all taht's really needed.

EXACTLY!

Fucking kids getting butthurt over xx is better than xx is silly. All of em are good.

Stephano is by far the best foreign zerg in my opinion. If he did ever compete in the gsl settings i would hold my doubts to see him become one of the best in the entire scene. Sign me up!

Thank you very much EvilTeletubby.

The things that worries me is that he stated that he trains only the match up he likes (ZvP), if he doesn't train his ZvT he will encounter a ton of problem

He did make a warning actually. And most of those warned posts came several minutes afterwords; they had plenty of time to bother to look before posting.

I don't understand why people do this... =/

Did Stephano play any real good games recently that I should check out VODs of? If there are VODs, of course. Are there VODs from Assembly yet, or do people know when they will be out?

The VODs from Assembly can be found on the SETT TV and SETT TV2 streams.

His semfinal series against Puma was entertaining if only to watch him dismantle a high-level KR Terran. His games against Polt were very close and exciting.

His build in the 2nd game against Puma was just sick. An infestor/bane/ling 2/2 all in. The timing on it was exceptional and I am not sure if Puma had 2-3 more tanks he would have had a shot. He steamrolled through 4 bunkers, ~25 marines, and a tank sieged up. IIRC, the third game was a really good timing by him as well. Overall, Stephano really toyed with Puma. I would recommend all of these VODs.

Against Polt, they were brutal to watch. Metalopolis was very frustrating to watch as Stephano just couldn't push Polt out of his base for something like 7 minutes. The rest of the games were extremely close at times. I think Stephano was ahead in a game or two and lost it. Sorry, MLG DRG vs MKP is starting to blend in
