In both games I couldn't stop thinking about Naniwa saying he wished he had just 4 gated Nestea instead of probe rushing because then nobody would've cared.

They even explained on stream. This is way WAY different from the Nestea "incident", this is showing that Naniwa has brains and takes the competition very serious and aims to win. He´s hiding his builds, since he knows he´ll win vs the other weaker players in the group and get to bracketplay anyways. This way he´ll have even a better chance to win . Can´t believe people don´t understand that.

When Idra forfeited all his matches at IPL 3 everyone was like :" Oh this guy is such a genius, he prefers rest and not show his strat than playing bad games because of jet lag" but when it is Naniwa ...

Somehow i feel like it has to do with him not wanting show his best play due to Code-S ro8. But that's just my feeling. NaNiwa never plays that a sloppy (apart from his probe rush). Those games felt like masked probe rushes. He played out those games instead of making the same mistake again. Eventually though he will need to play better if he goes further in the tournament. But i believe he feels like it's unnecessary to show his best until later because other players in ro8 will study his play.

There is no point if doing it because of GSL since there is no more Zerg ![]()

There's a difference T.T Every time I say Nani is hiding builds some troll comes out and says something along the lines of "lolol you just can't admit Nani is bad - hiding builds is BS nobody does that"

Now he has hidden his true potential for future games that might actually matter, perhaps he might even be able to win this tournament without showing anything too special, just to keep MVP from figuring him out before their Code S ro8 match which imho is 100 times more important. Even professional fotball teams save their best strategies and try to save their best players untill the playoffs. Its not every game u see zlatan sweating when he play, but when he is up against a team that he knows will give him a hard time... he plays for his life. NaNiwa going strong, next Code S champ, from what i've seen so far from nani in GSL i can say he has potential to even beat MKP. edit: also, ofc it still matters for code S even there are no zergs left, any slight sign of good play, blink stalker micro, multitasking, weaknesses... or anything. Can be used by future code S opponents.

And he didn't proberush, so there's that. :D

Hey now I totally believe he can ace the group I just think it's really not what he would have wanted and harder than some of the other groups he could have been in. Then again Nani does seem to love a challenge.
