So now that he has started to do really good in Code-S you suddenly start supporting him? Apparently good results in GSL Code-S can make people who dislikes a player suddenly start liking him. How very very interesting. Just seems a little bit funny to me how some people can do a 180° with their opinion just like that.
Now Naniwa is doing well, showing that he's been practicing really hard, and his winning interviews have been pretty professional too, so of course he's going to earn more fans. Why criticize a guy that came in here to say that he's changed his opinion about Nani? I wish more people were open like that -- usually when someone doesn't like a player, they'll hate on them forever no matter what the player does. It's nice to see someone say "I didn't like him before, but his play has really impressed me now."
Anyways, good luck to Nani at DH and especially in Ro8, I believe in you!

I never had a problem with Nanis attitude, I think it reflected his priorities well. Which is why I am a mad fan and always will be. If he starts getting more PR friendly and earning new fans I dont see that as a bad thing. He is looking more and more professional for each day in Korea, I think that the overall culture there is rubbing off. And I think the Koreans that were sceptical to his behaviour will hopefullly see the change and respect him more for it.
Nani go show great games vs MVP, no matter how it goes you got yourself a Code-S spot! Oh and GL in Stockholm!

But the problem is this Saig0n guy probably didn't like NaNiwa because of his personality/behaviour but now when NaNiwa is doing good in Code-S he suddenly changes his mind.
How can good results change your mind about a players personality?
And i agree with you that it's nice that someone can change his mind and not hate a player forever....... but......... how can he change his opinion SO QUICK? I'd understand it if he changed his opinion of NaNiwa over time but not in a second just because NaNiwa did good in Code-S and said things that he liked in 1 interview.
It just feels so phony.

I never had a problem with NaNiwa's behaviour eihter. I just feel like i understand him. He is so focused on just doing well and not settling for second best. He doesn't care about interviews or looking cool and popular, he just wants to win. And some people take this as him being bad mannered. He is so misunderstood.

Usually when someone is doing well people want to hop on the bandwagon. The problem is the same people who easily change their mind abaut Nani, are probably gonna change their mind again once (if) he slumps/misbehaves. Thats where the true fans stay and defend/stand up for him. I would probably defend Nani even if he hit Whitera in the face and called Boxer a chobo! ( please don't do it Nani

lol he would never hit White_Ra he likes him He wouldn't hit anyone else eihter. I don't believe he's that kind of guy who hits people.
If he called Boxer a chobo i would probably giggle because it's all in good fun. Upset fanboys don't get jokes anyway. And i will always defend nani.

@Waterflow I'm not trying to defend this Saig0n guy, but remember that there are people who just care about a players skills rather than their personality. Like look at Lebron for example, dudes got a shit load of fans and its all because he can play ball. Everyone knows his personality is kind of meh... but he's got the skills regardless. Both him and Naniwa do anything they can to win, and as you've pointed out, don't really care what the public thinks about them. I think it's wrong to say that Naniwa is purely misunderstood because he definitely can be BM at times and other players have talked about his bad attitude too. However, he has been much better all around lately, both skill wise and personality wise. I used to be a fan of Naniwa purely for his skills too, which I don't think is wrong, but lately I've been liking him more as a person as well. It's different for everyone though.

Yeah but read my comments again and more detailed.

Saig0n does care about NaNiwa's personality though. He didn't like him at first but now he seems to like him more. All this just because of really good play in Code-S and 1 successfull interview. And that's what i find strange, that a person can change his mind so quickly.
Making my comment easier for lolspoon to understand.

Saig0n said only that he respected the achievement of getting so far in Code S - he didn't mention changing his mind on personality at all.
you are worrying way too much about what motivations people have for supporting a player. You can have a little elite club of people who supported NaNi from the beginning and always understood him and are TRUE fans but people are free to express their support of a player for whatever reasons they want in a fanclub. I have no doubt there will be many more people cheering NaNi on this weekend because of his GSL performance who would not have paid him special attention before - yeah their support is as deep as yours but that doesn't make it illegitimate or phony. Personally I am in the same position - I still don't like NaNi's attitude overall, though I understand it's partly just his committment to the game. But I have enough respect for his skill, independence and perseverence to overlook that.

"Not going to lie, I was a straight up hater on Naniwa. And I don't even know why, I just kind of disliked him."
Why is he saying: "I (was) a straight up hater on Naniwa" then? If he (was) a straight up hater of NaNiwa then that must mean he isn't now. That indicates a change of mind.
Also: "I just kind of disliked him." Indicates he doesn't dislike him anymore. "I dislike" = I don't like. "I disliked" = I used to dislike.
People are totally gonna hate on me now for continuing this argument but i just had to Hatas gon hate!

Enough with the arguing, Some like NaNiwa and some dont. for different reasons. Just appreaciate that NaNiwa is gaining more fans, no matter the cause :-)

I just want top point out that some months ago during all the drama with the probe rush and Nestea before that I felt a lot when defending Nani that a lot of people thought kinda "Not going to lie, I was a straight up hater on Naniwa. And I don't even know why, I just kind of disliked him." Because well first of all the "idiot" comment was obviously about an in-game decision and well I'm not going in length into the probe-rush debate but i feel like people judged Nani all too hard; well my point is that other players like Idra or MC gets away with similar things or even worse things. I don't have anything against them and I think MC's show-things is funny it just bothers me when ppl are being hypocritical and allow it from some people and not others.
As for Naniwas attitude overall - I appreciate hard work and respect that Naniwas main focus is to win games. Me myself played chess on pretty decent level when i was younger and I played mostly because I loved to win and wanted to be the best, so I appreciate and can relate to how Naniwa feel. I just think it's awesome that Naniwa focuses on the right thing and I think it's a good way to serve your fans; keep winning or at least trying hard and show good results and I'm very happy that it's paying off now !
Go Naniwa and keep up the good work , fortsätt så !

now that you are king, you can behead all of the peasants who ever spoke badly of you.

Go Nanners!!!
Hard work pays off, and sometimes it pays off tremendous dividends.

I was literally yelling KILL HIM as naniwa went to finish virus off, epic stuff!
