Naniwa reminds me a lot of Shane from the Walking Dead. The sensitive hate him, but the logical know he's pretty much always in the right, and he has a way of doing reasonable things in unreasonable ways :D
ye its sad that people think otherwise

from now on i like naniwa, well done

I'd much rather see the epic Nani vs NesTea grudge match with something on the line; would have been a waste to crush the professor right now.

Like a fucking boss! Sign me up. Should've been signed up since he won MLG.

NaNi is going to pick NesTea at the group selections if those still exist next year and he shows up.

I'm not a member of this fanclub and although I surely don't hate the guy, I wouldn't really consider myself a Naniwa fan. But I think he did nothing wrong today. All this drama is ridiculous (although I find it actually quite amusing^^). I completely agree with what Nani said in the interview:
Naniwa said in his interview: I thought there is nothing at stake since neither me or Nestea can advance, and I know that unless I have something to play for I can't perform my best. I just felt like it wouldn't satisfy the fans at all with playing half hearted.
I'm actually more happy with that probe rush than with a semi-serious game, where none of them (especially not Naniwa) would play even close to their best. Naniwa fighting!

looking at the netizens reaction thread i cant help but feel disgusted at how stupid and butthurt a lot of people are. The are calling Naniwa a "shame for e-sports" and that hes giving e-sport a bad reputation. WHAT? Do these people even think about what they are writing? If anything naniwa did just the opposite by bringing a very human appeal to a sport where emotions are rather rare (compared to other sports....chill out).
I for one have nothing against Nanis drone rush. I was very happy to see something like it and I will now always stay a Nani fan.
U are good Johan, damn good, its all that matters.
fighting!

Im still rooting for you naniwa!!!

Another sad day for our Swedish protoss hero.
I don't agree with MC. Winning is more impotent then show good games. We need a winner not a entertainer.
We most allow are players that spend a lot of time end effort into this game, when they lose that should be allowed to in fall into despair.
Keep fighting, 2012 GSL winner?

It's incredible how koreans are so used to seing pop stars, singers and actors act fake all the time that when a guy actually acts like a human they are all shocked. People need to remember that pro gamers are not entertainers. They are competitors, and if there is nothing to get from playing, there is no reason to play.
Good luck Nani

Hope you dont catch to much heat from most other korean pro gamers since you prolly rely quite heavily on them. Very good first 3 games tho!

It's moments like these when we all learn who the true fans really are.
Nothing could possibly change how much Naniwa is my favorite player! <3

Sign me up. I'm glad that someone in SC2 actually says what he means, cares about winning over image, and takes steps towards actually winning.
What did Quantic say in that Tweet? Says page doesn't exist when I go there

From twitter by Quantic: "To the fans, NaNi feels sorry and didn't mean to offend, but found himself in an awkward situation. imagine how his probes felt."
About all this, Twitter going crazy, reddit as well and teamliquid of course. I can't believe people care so much about that one game that couldn't make any difference.
