The amount of "Fans" here that act surprised at what happened is pretty funny, you should know by now that Nani really doesn't care about his fans or sponsors or his reputation or any of that shit when it comes to stupid stuff like this, the game had no meaning at all so he didn't play it, deal with it -_-

Honestly, I laughed my ass off.

You exaggerate, really. While a fan would expect it, he's not some soul-lacking madman. I've met him in internet cafes before and he is really appreciative to support from his fans from my experience.

He played one of the more epic PvZ's I've ever seen vs leenock. Not to mention came very very close to making an amazing hold vs thor all-in. Showing amazing WC3esque micro taking those initial two thors out. He's defiantly a GSL caliber player. To think of him as a worse player (skillwise) because of his decision to throw the Nestea game, is just silly.

Exactly Those people are not fans. They are probably people who jumped on the bandwagon when NaNiwa came 2nd at Providence or something. They don't know or understand NaNiwa's personality. They only focus on his "negative sides". And i don't even think he has any negative sides. It's just that people are over-sensitive and acts like emo's who can't control their feelings.

Hell... id pay NaNiwa to be my friend. He is awesome!

What FlamingForce ment was only the situation in the 4th game vs Nestea that was completely pointless. Not otherwise.

Its just people who want something to moan about and someone to vilify while they fanboy people like idra even though he does the exact same thing in games that actually matter and they praise him for it , hypocritical, self righteous sad people who will act like its a crime against nature to not take a game that didn't count for anything seriously, while not saying a word about the fact he got 1base baneling allin'd, then 1/1/1'd then 1base thor rushed all the while he tried to play macro games. Where is the respect from gom forcing Bo1's, where is the respect from the other players to fans who wanna see good games so they do 1 base all ins. Ive read so much nonsense today its shocking how dumb people are.

Again, not a fanclub comment? I disagree, he played very well and almost won them even tho he was 1 base all inned. I was impressed with his resilience and micro. They were really good games

Dear ThePhan2m...

Oh my god you are pathetic!

If you guys really are his fans, you should take these things into consideration.
Think about the best for the player, and not just accept everything the player does.

JWD wrote it really well in the other discussion thread:
+ Show Spoiler +

On December 13 2011 22:03 JWD wrote:
I don't understand why so many posters in this thread think that this game didn't "count for anything" just because it had no bearing on who advances from the group. Advancing in tournaments is not the only thing that pro players are paid to do. This game was a big opportunity:
  • for NaNi, Quantic, and the foreign scene to show their stuff, generally
  • for NaNi to gain even more notoriety through his rivalry with NesTea (imagine what a nice win + ceremony would have done)
  • for Quantic to get its sponsors in front of thousands of viewers over 25 minutes of gameplay
  • for NaNi and Quantic to win over new fans, who will increase the worth of player and team
  • for NaNi and Quantic to impress GOM, who might then invite/welcome NaNi/foreigners/Quantic players to many more huge events in Korea
  • for NaNi to gain stage experience against a top top pro
  • for NaNi to better understand NesTea, in case they meet again
I'm sure there's more I'm missing. The point is that it's silly to think that there was nothing on the line here solely because prize money/tournament placing was not in question.
