I just want to reiterate some of the sentiments from other posters in this thread. If you were actually a real fan of Naniwa, you would know what his reasoning for doing this was and you wouldn't be complaining because "Boohoo I didn't get to see Naniwa play vs Nestea". Shame on you all for being such egotistical ignorant children

Why dont you care for your fans / sponsor? We wanted a rematch, you had nothing to loose. All you do is make anti-fans and make koreans dislike you, spreading bad reputation for foreign players.

This shouldn't be here in a fanclub forum? Can a mod remove this comment?

Yea fuck off haters. This is fan club

I'm a fan... Is there hate in that post? no, just compassion for him. I care for what is best for him... supporting everything a player does from a fan, isnt very much fan like, its idoling the player. Lets say if Naniwa would have smacked a player? or anything less bad, or worse? Would you still support him, and say! "Gogo Naniwa!". There are many different fans...

Nicely played, gj!

Soooo close to beating those guys, SWEET armycontrol!

I wish tournaments wouldn't have pointless matches like 4th/5th where noone advances or wins anything.

Depends on the situation. Naniwa pushed over forsen's noodles for taunting him after he lost 1-2 to DRG. I loved him even more after that. If he randomly went up and punched somebody for no reason and went out and said "i punched him cause he looked weird" then obviously I'd hate him. But it's not going to ever happen lol so how's it relevant? It's like me going into the Sheth fanclub saying "hey guys, if sheth punched someone in the face for no reason, would you still fanboy him?" He threw a game that didn't matter at all. Stephano threw 2 games that mattered vs. Cloud and I don't see you posting in the Stephano fanclub? What are you waiting for?

Dear ThePhan2m...

Oh my god you are pathetic!

If you guys really are his fans, you should take these things into consideration.
Think about the best for the player, and not just accept everything the player does.

I don't understand why so many posters in this thread think that this game didn't "count for anything" just because it had no bearing on who advances from the group. Advancing in tournaments is not the only thing that pro players are paid to do. This game was a big opportunity:
  • for NaNi, Quantic, and the foreign scene to show their stuff, generally
  • for NaNi to gain even more notoriety through his rivalry with NesTea (imagine what a nice win + ceremony would have done)
  • for Quantic to get its sponsors in front of thousands of viewers over 25 minutes of gameplay
  • for NaNi and Quantic to win over new fans, who will increase the worth of player and team
  • for NaNi and Quantic to impress GOM, who might then invite/welcome NaNi/foreigners/Quantic players to many more huge events in Korea
  • for NaNi to gain stage experience against a top top pro
  • for NaNi to better understand NesTea, in case they meet again
I'm sure there's more I'm missing. The point is that it's silly to think that there was nothing on the line here solely because prize money/tournament placing was not in question.

Tbh, what nani did creates even more notoriety. He is human after all, and that's how he felt so that's what he did. And I think the next time nestea and nani meet, it will be very tense (see nestea's reaction???). I don't know why ppl are so harsh towards nani, there are many other players doing similiar things and can be blamed as well? How about Idra's famous GGs (which have now become famous and actually notorious), or stephano six pooling in games that mattered (I read Huk's tweet). These guys are not machines or superhumans (although they might seem that way because of how well they play). I think a lot of your points are repeated, and things like nani getting more stage experience and getting sponsors etc seems highly unlikely. Did you see the other games he played, did u comment on those?? They were...Fantastic. That's nani representing right there

This is basically throwing the game, and not even showing a slightest bit of care.

Way to let your own fans down Naniwa :|

For me that was just retarded.

There was a lot of hype in that game, the casters was talking about it, everyone was excited about it. So much disrespect for the community, fans, gomtv(which do a good job in their events) and the overall progaming scene.

Add me, please ^^

Not because of the probe rush (I don't care, though I would have liked to have seen you beat Nestea again), but because of putting up a good fight in the first three games and being an epic troll with Khaldor on the KSL.

I don't think you're the type to really care what the internets are saying, but just know that you do always have fans out here cheering for you. Looking forward to seeing you get better and better-

Yeah sign me in aswell I don't know if I am yet.

Keeping it rational just as you should!
Don't bother reading all the exotic views of entitled SC2 "fans". The real rematch vs Nestea will be with something on the line and not BO1. And THAT will be exciting. Keep practicing man, you're close!
