Hey, I know that you're a Naniwa fanboy, but there's no point in trying to shit on Thorzain. And to your statement; Thorzain has excellent unit control, but why would he kite when he has EMP'ed a shitty Gateway-army and is winning very, very convincingly? His marine splits are amongst the best in the foreign scene when they need to be. The "Thorzain can just spoon"-shit is getting old. Gratz to mr. Ekløf. It's hard to win more convincingly than he did against Sase today. | ||

When you have a large bio-ball, kiting vs Zealots just let's them do more damage, since your bio will spread out more. If your bio is in a large ball, only a few zealots at a time will be able to attack them, while all the bio will do damage thanks to range advantage. Thorzain even said on his stream that he never ever wants to have a concave vs Protoss for that particular reason, so avoiding kiting as much as he can is almost certainly a conscious effort rather than "not bothering". Of course, staying in a ball makes your bio (MUCH) more vulnerable to storms and colossus-fire, but Thorzain has excellent Ghost-micro and Viking positioning, and knows when to pull back his bio to bait storms, etc. He has a peculiar playstyle vs Protoss that might not appear very flashy at first, but it's absolutely not effortless, if that's what you're implying. | ||

Thorzains comment about Naniwa was quite hilarious. Not sure how to translate... he pretty much said that Naniwa comments about him was a great motivation for him in his training and that he looks forward to make Naniwa eat his own words. That is a bit of a "free style" translation though. He said that but in a little less bm way ^^ | ||

From what I've seen he usually only does this when he feels he's too far ahead to lose. Just think of it as people not bothering to siege tanks against an army. | ||
