We don't need more drama at this point in time. theres nothing fucked up about my message. if you cant keep a clear mind when reading a message without letting its manner of communication fuck you up then that's your fault. i've written enough graduate level english in the sc community to know that there's no point to it. the assholes that require it to pay you any attention arent worth it. i've got legitimate reasons to be upset about both the gsl and diamond. From reading this forum for awhile I can say what sets it apart and makes it special is the level of maturity that's expected here. Now, like every other place on the internet there's a lot of unintelligent post etc etc. But Im under the impression that TL.net aspires to be a community above the norm. Your own video on the Carrier is one of thousands examples of quality posts on this site. And now your calling those in the community who prefers good manner and ok language assholes? Some community representative you are... (maybe im drawing this abit far, but still) Also, GSL's main tournament is the nr 1 tournament in the world, where coincidently your teammate has just made the semifinals. Telling your fans, TL fans, to boycott a GSL tournament seems pretty far out. That TL and their sponsors pay you, and then you come off with this kind of behavouir and publicity is pretty damn unproffesional. I hope the reason for this outburst is that you got angry and then decided to have a few drinks. Because this is kinda below what i thought was expected of Liquid players/employees/staff. EDIT: I just saw the mod warning on the other page. I'll let the post stand, as i see it as OT as to what Nony himself responded to and wrote.

(1) Apologies for Ragoo's words Nony, he gets a little jumpy sometimes - from the mapmaking community. (2) Ragoo is already a proven mapmaker and his intention is not attention-whoring or sucking up to anyone. Take this back to twitter. The map-making community is entirely irrelevant to the discussion as it is about what Nony said to Diamond, not what Nony said to the map-making community. I don't understand why he felt he needed to bring this up or why anyone from the map team is saying anything at all.

If you think this is your personal private business, and he has nothing to do with it, then posting about it on Twitter wasn't the best idea in the first place?

I personally have only interacted with him one time on TL, when he was trying to defend on of the largest, dumbest map pools ever created. At the time he was very dismissive of everyone's complaints, stating that "everyone" was just repeating what they heard on SotG and implied that they could not think for themselves. My real issue with this one is this: Why would Diamond make a snarky comment to a clearly upset person through twitter in the first place? I think when people are clearly upset about something, people should avoid "poking the bear". It is just common courtesy to not make snarky when you know that the post was made when in anger. Nony has never asked people to boycot anything in the past, so a reasonable person would ask "What is his problem with this event?" If Diamond wanted information, he could have just asked. Instead he posted this: 16m Patrick Soulliere II @ESVDiamond @LiquidNonY Great post full of details on why to boycott it instead of a standard progamer QQ rage post. Oh wait....... Expand Reply Retweet Favorite There is no way in the world that can be taking as anything but a passive-agressive jab at Nony. I don't know what Diamond's plan was, but it likely involved irritating Nony. Sure, Nony's first tweet lacked specific information, but it was pretty clear that he was pissed about something. Twitter is a public forum, but it is still an interaction between people. You don't have to respond. If someone yells "God damn it, this phone is a peice of crap. People should never buy it.!" in the middle of a busy train station, no one goes up to that person and says "Great comment...I could have used more details about the phone you are using and why it is bad." You know why? Because that person is clearly having a bad day and you don't poke the bear.

@NonY: When you tweet something like that, people will always be eager to learn the full story. Especially when it smells like drama. You're better off venting in private. You're not doing yourself or TL a favor here.

I wanted to learn the full story, but I didn't reply to NonY's tweet with a sarcastic remark making fun of him. I waited to see if NonY was going to explain himself through a post of some sort. If he didn't explain then that's his business, he just wanted to vent and Twitter is just as good a place as any to do that. At first I thought Diamond was actually involved in some way, like he was the one organizing the event. I thought it was absurd when I found out that he was nobody in this conversation and had absolutely nothing to do with anything.

I wouldn't say Nony made a mistake. He can use his personal twitter however he likes. If I see a Korean progamer tweet a shitload in Korean, chances are I unfollow. If I see a celebrity advertise too much then I unfollow. If you don't like what you see just unfollow.

I don't do it at work or on twitter. But your points are valid, you don't need to follow people on twitter.
