i feel like idra would be better at toss than Terran.. he prefers heavy macro style while turtling into some sort of deathball composition.. i feel like idra would be a way better player as toss than any other race.. that being said, he said that he is quitting competitive gaming.. and i am happy about this.. i haven't liked idra due to his never gg-ing and just leaving games randomly.. so dumb, but he is very smart and has great insight when hes casting .. so i will be a bigger fan now

I was watching just the first few minutes of Real Talk and the conversation coincided well with my thoughts. If idrA was known as a playful/humorous person then a lot of his comments might not come across nearly as harshly. If Huk told someone, especially someone he knew that he was going to "sodomize them with a tire iron", it might be taken completely as a joke. idrA said that he told capoch he hoped he got cancer to be hyperbolic. Unfortunately, that's not the persona that's been cultivated in public and we can only assume he means every thing he says no matter how ridiculous (the fans are fucks, david kim is a retard, etc.). If what he said was true, then his plan has failed spectacularly. His problem, though, is one of composition. He may have been sincere in each scenario but it was all muddled.

That's why I can't defend his outspokenness. He said lots of good things. He said lots of ridiculous things. All of it needlessly inflammatory. And we're just confused.

idra should have played terran from the very start. as a macro style zerg you turtle and get attacked/allined and can only win with like 15 minutes of solid defensive play for every win. as a macro terran you have to be aggressive and I think that would lead idra to believe he had more control in the game.

agreed, considering during late 2011 to early 2012 terran was the strongest race ever

Edit: If Idra and InControl were to get together and cast professionally, I think that at some point they would rival Tasteless and Artosis in their commentary. Now THATS something I look forward to!

On several occasions I've watched tournaments muted with Idra's stream up with his commentation and he's very good. I'm not sure however that he could make a job out of it since he can be very flat in tone and not nearly as bombastic as anyone out there, which is the generally accepted model for casters.
