Because he is in Korea with an actual team this time...and he says that everyone who goes to korea starts sucking then gets better. Sure, it might not be the old beta idra (because everyone else sucked back then), but I think idra can definitely pick it up in mid 2012

I guess my real point is, in june-august of 2012, if Idra hasn't started improving, how many more chances should we give him? What will be the "reason" that time? When will we start holding him accountable for what he does instead of what he says? How many people will then say "just give him 6 months, he had to deal with protoss being OP in january/february. and then he got frustrated and it hurt his practice regime in march/april" or some other such reason.
I just want him to, if he is appreciative of his fans like he now says he is in all his interviews, at least try to figure out the REAL reasons why he's in a slump, and not just saying "because bad players dont have to do anything to beat him" etc. And I don't understand why we are so willing to give him an infinite amount of excuses before we just find a better player who is more respectful of his fans to care about.

He was in the B-team for about the amount of time the average player takes to go from B to A. team. And considering that he didn't know the language, he didn't "fail" in broodwar. He was doing pretty normal...then SC2 came out. He didn't have a real team because he was the only SC2 player in his team, so he just laddered until he finally went back to the US.

im a huge demuslim fan, but when he underperforms, i admit this. i get sad, but i still want him to win everytime and believe in him - even though i know he didnt play well (this is an example...). Being a fan doesnt mean you have to close your eyes to the reality imo.
IdrA underperforms a bit atm, especially in ZvP - it was never his strengh, but it seems like he simply has the wrong mindset in this matchup and he doesnt try out different strategies - he says that it wont work before he tries, even though others do well with it (e.g. heavy muta play, brofestor turtle). But i still believe in him, he has huge potential and is still one of the best foreigners, especially ZvT.

I love watching IdrA play. One thing I've noticed (and welcome comments on), is that in the last month or so, in every ZvP matchup, he always goes for a very fast third (usually within the first 5 minutes). The games usually progress along the same track. Protoss either goes stargate into 5-7 gate pressure, or goes very heavy blink stalker pressure (+1 or +2). I feel like IdrA does pretty well mechanically handling this pressure, but often gets overwhelmed because the protoss has too many freakin units
The question I have is that do you think IdrA should mix up his ZvP play a bit? If so, how? Obviously this is ladder play, so it's not totally representative of how he'll play in meaningful games (however he did do another very fast third in his game against Her0 tonight, which was representative of the ladder games I've observed recently). I feel though that ladder play represents the play that he's the most comfortable with.

Man's fucking good and has been for a long time. Of course we hope he'll win everything and yeah the ZvP thing is getting a bit sucky but that's what he's working on. Didn't he beat Puzzle like, yesterday? And today he loses a game vs HerO, clearly the time is here for ultimatums. That kind of ignores he's been consistently at the top playing the best players though.
But we'll see when competitions start up again. We've had like 2 tournaments since "omg IdrA destroyed ROG he's so good".
I just don't understand his mindset. Inadequate scouting, overdroning and he had a clear chance(s) to snipe Hero's pylon, but instead he tried to run down blink stalkers whilst having 6 more warped in on top of his roaches.
He needs to get his ZvT mindset into ZvP.
Really want him to push on, but his play wasn't great tonight - almost lackadaisical and couldn't be bothered attitude. Sadly.
