Hope he can pick it up. Love to see him do well in competitions and it feels like its been sooo long since we saw him do well anywhere.
edit: Obviously idra is a top zerg player, just seems to lack something at the moment to turn him into a top, top zerg player. If that is so, then it certainly isn't because of mechanics, multitasking, speed or something like that Nor, you know, continent. Sigh. I swear the Stephano thing is like Morrow all over again. Why? /headtowall I don't see much connection between Morrow and Stephano. There was hype around Morrow? People have always regarded him as good imo, but he never won anything worth of much merit.
Now Stephano on the other hand makes top foreigners like Grubby and Thorzain look completely outclassed, time and time again. He also ranks with the very top foreigners in tournament wins. Kid is good.

Grubby and Thorzain are not top foreigner by any means, and I dare you to look the last LAN tournament Stephano had a good placement

A player that just seems angry at a game because he isn't as good as he want too be. The last Lan tournament stephano played and won was Electronic Sports World Cup 2011. last Idra won was ASUS ROG Stars Invite which was a pretty weak tournament rooster wise compared to Electronic Sports World Cup 2011.

Can we all just shut up about this Tzain vs Stephano vs Idra bullshit?
None of them are as good as they want to be, none of them are comparable to the top koreans, all of them are practicing really hard. Let's wait for the new tournament season to start properly before we start judging by tournaments months and months ago

Grubby is still not a top foreigner, his play is unstable, fluctuate, but its a only a matter of months.

I agree with you. Yes our top foreigners are weak at the moment, cheer for them instead of bashing them, whoever they are.
I don't get people who want foreigners to be smashed. No more foreigner -> less interest in the game -> less tourneys etc etc and then it will be Korea and hipsters like back in Broodwar =.=

Talking about what is health for the community. The behavior Idra shows too other players and the game inn general is whats bad for the community!
Edit! His behavior has not become worse. But you would think he would grow up a little!

I've never seen IdrA watch a replay that he loses..why does he not do that :/ he would improve so fast against p/t

Probably won't do it on the stream obviously.

I doubt that actually. Idra never really changes his style and most of the time when he loses he says it was either his fault or that he got blindcountered. I wouldn't be amazed at all if he barely watches replays.

Of course, he will never be a Sheth, but personally, I don't care about that in the slightest.
Also, I must say I completely 100% disagree. His BM and villainy nature is great for the community. It creates tension, drama and it attracts tons of attention, which is just what the community wants. Doesn't matter if you, and a couple more are butthurt(not saying you are) because he dropped an F-bomb, or told someone they're disgustingly bad off camera. The tiny disrespectful jabs, like not shaking hands with Cruncher is what the community feasts on, and loves.

Why? That doesn't make any sense to me.

it's because it is ladder. Normally he knows why he loses before the game is done. I did see him going over a replay once, so it isn't like he doesn't consider it

I'm sure he goes over losing replays. He must have in BW and I'm sure he does now. He knows how to practice.

My issue is not that he is a little bad mouth. I can deal with that it's even funny sometimes. My problem is his attitude to the hole game. he clearly don't like the game, and it's never his fault if anythings goes wrong. Ya it creates drama and tension, but it also creates stupid idiots that think it's cool to act like that because there fanboys of Idra. The same as people that like Combatex. It's the hole worshiping people that acts like asses.(and no i don't think Idra is a as outside sc2, but when he is playing and representing the community he seems like an ass) And just because it is what the community wants do not mean it is health for the community if it wants to grow beyond what it is today.
And talking about Sheth, he was a monster bm and troller before. But has grown up. I would not say Idra has improved we just got more used too it.

Then you clearly haven't followed Idra for a long time... He has improved over the last year. There is a difference between people like CombatEX and Idra, they are not comparable at all... and waht do you know about things never being his fault? Most of the time he actually says HE, HIMSELF was the one who did somethin wrong. Just after the game, he might say shit about the opponent being bad, bmbmbm etcetcetc, but after he cools off he admits it was his fault most of the time.
Stupid idiots come from everything, and is not a phenomenon reserved to Idra fanboys... If they think it's cool to act like that because they like Idra, then they probably weren't any better before they became his fan either, lol.
If the community wants to grow beyond what it is today, then it needs more attention, and more personality in players. Pretty much everytime a player shows emotion is bound to be good for the community, because people can relate, hate, love, whatever

as a person who probably watched/read 95% of all idra interviews, I just need to point out that idra actually does admit when it was his fault. this is from after his code s matches in January (2012)
Thanks for supporting me. I’ll try not to suck next time.
