Sad to see that we didn't get Greg on ITG tonight... I feel that a complimentary stream is in order.

I'd rather him get quality practice. Its only about a week before his code S matches

MVP is an overrated cheesy terran. He's still the best terran probably, sadly

MVP is like the least cheesy player that exists, and also is like one of the best players in the world. He's like the Flash of SC2.

I... dont know what to say to that... are you joking? The Flash of SC2? really?

Apparently nobody has ever heard of hyperbole. Flash wins a lot, MVP is currently the most dominant player in SC2, I don't see how, with a little imagination, you can't make the connection. I still think Idra is going to beat both him and Nestea, but you people need to calm down.

I agree, it's hyperbole. On the other hand, MVP is not the Flash of SC2. Also comparing prize-money between the two games doesn't make sense.

i understand what you're implying, but on the other hand it still makes perfect sense.

when success is measured in gold medals and prize money, they are easily comparable. i would also be bold enough to make the statement that MVP also has more fans than flash due to the fact that BW is dead where SC2 is booming. however, if flask does switch, its safe to say Flash would begin to take over again in every area.

BW ain't dead man. In Korea, it is way bigger than western esports. Did you know that 700000 people watched boxers first GSL game live? Where has that audience gone? Back to BW. Sc2 is gonna got huge soon in Korea but not ATM.

i can tell you clearly dont look at the spectator numbers bc BW IS dead... one country with a relatively small population doesnt compare to an entire world watching SC2. (seriously, its not even remotely close)

another thing... Boxer getting 70k viewers in GSL.... where to start...
A: Boxer, not Flash
B:wasnt even a BW game....
C: where do you get the idea exactly that they went back to watching BW? you're just making shit up at this point.

i dont understand why people think Koreans actually make up a majority of overall viewers in SC2(comparing to the rest of the world), because they dont... not even close.

Boxer got 700K, not 70k! That's 3 times higher than any live stream ever! Stuff like MLG, Dreamhack, IPL, NASL had less live viewers for their finals COMBINED. 700k people watched Boxer play sc2 live on the Korean gom stream. This is unparalleled in terms of numbers for any tournament and it was simply a Ro64 GSL game. Give me a plausible explanation of how this happened that isn't 'the Korean BW audience decided to watch sc2 for a change'. The pro league finals had millions watching. Until MLG has 2 million live viewers instead of 100k, then we can talk about sc2 being the bigger esport.

Source http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=161872

um yea... about that.....MLG providence had 3.5million unique viewers,so what about which being a bigger esport? the actual numbers of the finals werent released, but considering its the marquee match... with 241k average online over 3 days. not just one single match

source: http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/news/mlg-delivers-the-largest-season-in-esports-history

If you bothered to read your own source that was all of the mlgs combined for the 2011 season

You can't distinguish between Koreans and foreigners? Why do you need a list?

Right now? I think all but one of the featured streamers is streaming KR ladder. Artist might be as well, but he's in the US, so he might be playing NA.

"23 year old Korean looking for fun". :p That's pretty amusing.

This looks cool can't wait to see this game. It's unfortunate, but I don't think that Idra is going to be streaming anytime soon, what with Code S approaching.

So I watched the game and it was a pretty nice one, Idra played well. It's sort of interesting to see Idra's harass, but on the receiving end. Select played pretty well as well imo.

Ladder is a good way to get hit with everything from every matchup in a short period of time.

Idra will be able to specifically practice for w/e matchup he plays this season in Code S.

I don't think any amount of success or failure on the ladder really says how good a player can be. If anything it just keeps his timings crisp and lets him fight off alot of the bullshit you tend to see on ladder.

Experimenting might be a wierd word to use. He said in an interview that they were simply put: good. And that they are basically underused by him and others. He's just a good player that wants to be able to utilize all of his race's strengths I feel. So sort of experimenting, I guess.
