But I think we should acknowledge that he's improved a lot overall in the last few weeks (months) and look forward to his stay in Korea, rather than obsessing over his loss today.
Well i don't think he has improved since he left korea (or everyone else has improved more).

i would honestly argue more that he just has never really dealt with his nerves. He just hasn't been able to every fully get around the issue of losing a series because he can't get the first loss out of his head.

That isn't the point. Point is players get awarded technical fouls and what now, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a warning or something for never showing up to consolation matches.

How is that ignorant? He can do whatever the hell he wants to do. If he doesn't want to play a match, that's up to him. As a fan, I'd rather watch him play good in a mmatch he is willing to play, rather than just breeze through a match not really caring, which might end up in an awkward loss.
As fans, we should respect his decision. He doesn't play to make us happy. he doesn't owe us anything

People always make a big deal out of him forfeiting the placement matches but he does it every MLG. I do think EG should force him to play these, or maybe MLG starts to enforce these consolation games. Really lame for IdrA to just forfeit these games when placing higher and earning more money is both beneficial for himself and team EG.

Well, to be fair, IdrA has such good insight into this game he can probably see five minutes into the future of a game, if there has been evidence to support the outcome he thinks. On metalopolis, he lost all of his hydralisks so Mutalisks would have powered him over easily, That one was obvious.
But on Taldarim, I didn't get that? Someone needs to explain that one because IdrA isn't even saving time by GGing that early, what hes doing is being negative. He could have at least expanded or all ined. Hoping for a lucky baneling hit is better than just leaving.
He didn't see what we saw though, he may have thought he was more behind than he actually was. That's my explanation for that but I'm sure someone as in-depth to this game as IdrA would be able to sense how behind he actually is.
