IdrA isn't some weak kid or something, I'm pretty sure he can handle that question. He also used that quote pretty often. Go ahead if you are in a good relationship, as I'm sure lots of people would be pleased to know the story behind it.

I could probably ask IdrA too I suppose, though he wasn't who I'm talking about. I don't know either personally, but I was talking about Plexa, who is a site administrator, who seems to be the same person IdrA always says the quote too. I was making a joke about it, thus the haha, that if it were some terrible secret he would wield lightning bolts to smite me from TL. He is an admin after all.

how can anyone feel sympathy for this guy? he disrespects other players on a regular basis... he is immature and self absorbed... bad boy image my ass if that's what he is trying to convey he is just coming across as a whiney child with self-esteem issues.
i know this doesn't really belong here but im really curious to know how anyone can see him as worthy of having a "fan club".

I don't feel sympathy for him, I flat out like him.
He's smart: He was going to major in physics, I have huge respect for that. His posting in Non-SC threads is always insightful, or at least, accurate and amusing.
He's a great player: Not only are his mechanics strong, he makes an effort to understand the game. He doesn't just want to know how to win, but why it wins. Immense respect for that too.
He's got a great sense of humor. He also says what I'm thinking a lot of the time when it comes to people like Husky, when it comes to religion or politics, and when it just comes to morons in general.
But most importantly, this is his fanclub, so why don't you take unintelligible tripe elsewhere? It doesn't matter if you understand it.
Edit: Oh, and he's great to his fans. Anyone who went to a MLG knows that.

You've probably just bought into the hype. I kinda thought the way you did until I started watching closely on his tournaments and streams.
The koreans gun for him, with a few of them always cheesing allin, and never giving a proper game too. Idra just doesn't put up with it. He knows the people who are going to cheese him.
People gun for him because they know he'll BM, so they just do whatever they can to try and get him to rage.
I have newfound respect for Idra after watching his play. Yea, he may say some things sometimes, but it's often provoked. I like that he is honest. In a day where people hide behind masks all the time, it's nice to see that he actually says what he feels. He may be self absorbed, but he is a great player. Almost every great player in any sport you find will tell you they are the best and have the confidence to back it up.

from what i see he doesnt give a damn about losing or winning but improving, which is definatly deserving of respect and a fan club obviously

You got your panties tied up in a bunch over someone you barely know talking shit online, which probably defines 50% of people on the internet.
It's OKAY if someone you don't like has a fanclub and you don't. It's OKAY if you get a bunch of hateful words typed at you over a monitor screen.
Don't take the internet too seriously, and you'll find that idra's comments become kind of funny. You might even start raging yourself if you find yourself cheesed

It's simple. Someone plays Terran when they were unbalanced, wins a tornament. Everyone congratulates them says what a talent this guy is and how he'll go on to win many more tornaments.
Idra notices that he plays Terran notices how he won without doing anything skilled and it's because of the race.
Calls said player out on it and trys to explain his point. (with his "explanations") Gets mocked by people who feel their opinion is worth more than a Pro Gamers. Ontop of always looking to play a macro style long drawn out game away from all the Cheese and All Ins, I think that warrants a fan club
